#.270 and 6.5 as class 3-7

Love this idea, a few reclasses would give the game WAY more variety. Personally i'd love to see the .30-30 reclassed 3-7 too, it's my favorite black bear caliber IRL.
It'd be way more useful to have the .45-70 reclassed to 6-9. they both need a buff in a bad way, all the base game weapons do really. Hope this gets implemented soon, i love the Huntsman but it's obsolete right now
Lever actions definitely need a buff. Having the shorter distance makes sense due to the engine limits but they do all need to pack a bit more of a punch! Would be a good update to go along side a lever action weapon pack of 5 or so rifles to give more options on that front as they lack variety compared to other options. I reckon a .22, .357 mag, .44 mag, .454 and a browning style rifle caliber would be cool as it would give us a lever action for every class animal aswell as a longer range option for some of the pistol calibers
love that idea, i showed some nice rifles in my suggestion but i didn't add this much detail
Hello @twilit wraith thanks for this suggestion about the weapons, we value all contributions made by the players.
The Glock should go up to 7,Ive seen people kill black bear with it
Yeah, the Glock is known as a bear defense weapon, so it should go up to 7
Ok this needs to happen now. A 44 magnum lever action is coming and based off of how the 44 mag revolver performs its gonna be more powerful then both of them and its class 3 to 8 ( e.w don't change the 44 magnum classes or power ) please please please change the 6.5 and 270 they've been obsolete since scoring 2.0 came out and every new rifle just seems to put them into the grave more and more
I'm personally not holding out hope for this ever happening at this point, given the continued reasoning of the ballistics system being given for why it won't happen, but it'd be great if it did.
Every time we get a new rifle that covers things 4-8, those two rifles become a little more of a joke.
The .270 especially. Being a base-game rifle, it's outperformed by literally every DLC weapon.
I understand that they have reasons for wanting to favor the dlc, but it's no reason to make the earlier weapons totally obsolete as they've done. We don't need or want meta sets, just enough balancing so you could use anything you felt like that fit the class of animal you were after
Bump
Agreed, we need this. .270, .30-30, and 6.5 all would be so much better as alternate options for the 7.62x54r, its boring using the same thing for literal years
Bump. Also this makes sense because I doubt anyone irl would use a 6.5 or 270 on a saltwater crocodile and crocs class 8
🙏
Make em 3 - 8 since they're so underwhelming
I feel like 270 coukd be a 3-8. Lots of people do use then for moose, bear, and elk irl
Easily, .270 is rock solid but it uses super light bullets so roe and springboks should be just fine
100%. But you can get some surprisingly heavy bullets for it too. Even so, i know some people who routinely take moose with standard winchester .270 ammo with a 150 grn bullet. 270 is definitely underrated. But very versatile
.270 should be 3-8 in my opinion. I read It's the minimum for springbok in Africa and it can kill moose
bumping this back up again, I think this is necessary for the sake of the class system being coherent
Definitely not the minimum but it's very popular for Springbok. Also works very well for Gemsbok assuming the shooter makes a well placed shot
moose hit with 6.5 on a heart shot will run another 75m from where it was hit.
