The name explains itself. It doesn’t make sense that animals with significantly better hearing have the same spook radius as ones who don’t.

If you mean that then it is irrelevant how many senses the animal has since the Explosion Sound travels from the character and "impacts" the animals that are within that range and scares them.
It is an abrupt explosion in the middle of silence, in real life animals evolved to respond to them, whether it is a rabbit or a buffalo the effect is the same
