Nuu-Chah-Nulth is based on Vancouver Island and the higher coastal mainland. The name means all along the mountains and sea

Canadian map with European flavor. This is Probably the only Canada map that can have Fallow Deer. It has Feral Goats as well

I would like the Storyline to be based on the Nuu-Chah-Nulth First Nations. They were excellent Whale hunters but could take down any of the plentiful wildlife options in the region.

It has 12 NEW HUNTABLE OPTIONS

Hey I see you went ahead and did a reserve on Vancouver Island, and while the list is generally good there are some things I should point out. I do like the concept though

Mule Deer don’t really live in the area and are more found in the interior further east

Grizzly Bears do visit the island from the mainland but don’t seem to stay there full time, but that could change in a decade or so. If you expand the reserve to include parts of the coastal mainland area you could still include grizzlies and mountain goat

Wolverines have not been sighted (officially) since 1992 and are possibly extirpated from the area

The Blue Grouse has been divided into 2 separate and in the context of Vancouver Island your blue grouse would now be Sooty Grouse

The same parts of Vancouver Island that have Fallow Deer also have Feral Goats and Feral Sheep (Gulf Islands)

Raccoons do occur on Vancouver Island

Mountain Lion can also be hunted on Vancouver Island and have a very dense population on the island (they could be used to replace the lynx)

@magic snow Would this be a viable edit work around for the Wolverine. You are correct there're sightings on the island but are rare nowadays. I seen a lot more sightings documented in the Highland areas bordering the island. You being in that area you would know better than me. I usually stay down in Washington State 🤣

@magic snow Yea that's where I looked. I actually found a Facebook group that recorded sightings and they did have them in the islands but had a lot more on in the North Eastern corner of Vancouver Island. It wouldn't be absurdly out there to include them like it would the Dall's and Stone sheep like I had.

@thorn timber I'm pretty sure he is wanting a Roosevelt Elk Great one. He has a post about it. Silver Ridge is an amazing map though. I just wish it had Grizzly as well.

To be honest my knowledge of my own band is regrettably lacking, I have slightly more then surface level knowledge (the joy of living one province away when travel is expensive lol)

What I can say is whaling used to be a very important part of our culture, and my band in particular had a whalers shrine (it is currently collecting dust in a museum in New York) (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yuquot_Whalers'_Shrine)

I didn't include the mountain lion because I added the wolf. I had to many species to add them as well. I do like the Mountain goats and Grizzly Bear mount. I actually thought I seen a photo of this. I'll see if I can find it.

I was thinking of adding a possible mount like this called-
The Last Meal
1 Grizzly Bear or Black Bear
1 wolf
1 Snowshoe hare
Im torn on the Grizzly or Black Bear. If I did Black Bear it could have a GO in it.

I really like this Vancouver Island Map but I would also like to see a Kodiak Island map as well .. This would give us a total of 3 maps where Blacktails and Rosie elks can be hunted ..... Of course we need to get past the No more NA map haters ....

I also believe Canada deserves some love. Is any of the North American maps in Canada. I believe they are all U.S. Layton lakes is close but seems more Oregon, Washington state based.

Possible mission- Menacing Beavers
You have to remove the beavers that are blocking the farmers irrigation drainage. Maybe a lake or pond that has a beaver damn. Once you Remove the beavers the mission will complete but they will keep respawning there even though the mission is complete as a need zone. If you are lucky you could possibly land one of these Rares.

They could also add a mission Diamond if you clear a certain amount of Beaver dams

So apparently Vancouver has a market where the goats live on the roof. It made me think about possibly including this in a mission.
It could be a mission with a Feral Goat Diamond kind of like the the albino Fallow on hirschfelden but the Feral Goat would be on top of an abandoned shed after you completed several other missions to unlock him.

We could also have of a sanctuary type deal where you have some Feral Goats that live on top of your outpost. Kinda like they just added on Emerald Coast

I wonder if Jaxy Beard has been to this market lol.
