It would be cool to have a Melee weapon, i know this sounds stupid and its cotw not cod, but here in australia people do things like Pig sticking and also if ur attacked by a animal you could be cool to melee it

In the game the animals do not attack frequently and the speed at which they do it does not allow you to dodge them or perform any other action, placing a melee defense weapon would be unnecessary. Hunting animals with sharp weapons is illegal in almost all countries or they are not regulated, they also prohibit their use to "finish" the life of the animal after having shot it, instead it is allowed to use pistols exceptionally for some species like Bears or big animals.
However, this finishing mechanic was not included when the game was designed nor will it be included since it tried to eliminate the "violence" that the hunt shows.
