#Please focus on fixing bugs after Australia releases

The long-awaited release of an Australian map will make a lot of players very happy, and I expect it will sell very well. It seems like it could be a good time to relax the DLC release schedule in order to focus on fixing the many persistent bugs that have accumulated in the game over the years. Things affecting the basic gameplay like missing call audio, incorrect directional audio on calls, animals freezing in a "flee" state, the friggin "sticky" bush audio, etc. all NEED to be fixed. Some of them have been a problem for years at this point, and a new batch of issues seems to emerge with every update. If making a significant dent in these bugs means fewer small DLCs this year and/or no new map in the winter, I'm personally okay with that. Or perhaps Emerald Coast will bring in enough funds that you can expand the team and do both.

Would you be willing to pay $6.99 DLC to get the bugs fixed instead of a new map? You will not receive new content, only bug fixes..
IF your answer is yes, then good for you, however most players won't be willing to do this...
The study needs to be financed, they need to pay services, rents, employee salaries, technical service, software and report sufficient income to the central study to continue with all the projects, for this it has a business model of expansion updates and semi-annual supplements...
Without these paid updates I could not finance everything, if you want you can create a Thread requesting that they Increase the price of the DLC or that they "Donate" money to fix errors, neither of the 2 options have been very popular..

I was going to leave it at my previous message because that's what it boils down to, but I've been thinking about it and I've gotta say that what you're saying here is pretty absurd. I think any game dev who has any pride in their work would be embarrassed by the suggestion that their players would have to pay separately for content and bug-fixing. Plenty of other games manage to release content AND fix bugs, so I reject the idea that for these devs it has to be one or the other. As for the specifics of the pricing, I expect you have as little idea as I do about whether the current prices are adequate to cover both content and bug-fixing. All I know is that the Australia map is likely to be popular and give them a wider profit margin than past DLCs, which is why I suggested the timing I did.

It's a nice thought, but if history is any indicator it'll go more like: They'll say they fixed five issues but it'll turn out only three are actually fixed, seven new issues will be introduced, and then we'll have to wait several weeks or even a month for a so-called "hotfix" that only addresses a couple of the more obvious things like crashes. Then it'll be radio silence until they have a new DLC to hype. Call me jaded but I've seen them repeat this cycle many times over and I'd love to see them finally break free from it.
