#DLC suggestion: dog, weapons, and barn mini-map for small game and target practice

Here is a proposal for a "Super DLC". The main proposal is for a new hunting dog: Dachshund or Beagle for flushing birds and small game like rabbits, hares, and raccoons.

The DLC will also have a new “mini-map” set on a region of Silver Ridge Peaks, occupying an area about the size of the Layton Lakes Trophy Cabin (or slightly larger), but nowhere near a full-sized reserve. The main attraction will be a large barn and surrounding corrals where players and their dogs can hone their skills shooting all sorts of small game, from rats, squirrels, and woodchucks to pigeons, crows, magpies, wood doves, rabbits, and prairie dogs (with a burrowing mechanic similar to the European rabbits).

To add more variety, it would also include a clay pigeon (skeet) thrower for shotgun practice, as well as a mini-target range with bottles, metal plates, and other items for handguns.

To fully immerse themselves in the experience, players would also get a new costume: a tartan shirt, jeans, cowboy hat, gloves, and cowboy boots.

And of course, new weapons will be included in the DLC (brands and specific models for inspiration only):

Savage 93R17 BTVSS 17 HMR Bolt Action Rifle

Mossberg SA-410 Turkey .410 Semi-Auto Shotgun

Beeman AR2079A air rifle in .22

Anglo Arms 80lb Self-cocking Hand Crossbow (i.e., what is in Classic now).

Essentially the DLC is really for the dog, costume, and weapons, but with some added fun.

I know you said pigeons but this mini-reserve would be perfect for Eurasian Collared Dove too, they are just as invasive (could have both birds). In general I like the concept so far

Sure! Those were some off-the-cuff ideas. Raccoons could be hiding in the bushes, etc.

I can definitely see animals here being no bigger then class 2 at most

Yes, it is way too small an area for anything bigger, and is really just a mini-game for target practice rather than a hunting map.

Yes, if it was limited to, say, one of the major regions of a standard reserve (so about 15-20% in size), and without outposts, towers, etc. I am just trying to think of something that is fairly limited for practice, the weapons, and a dog that can be used elsewhere, but could be (hopefully) made by the developers without an immense amount of development time on the setting itself.

I always thought it would be interesting to see a small area or mini map of a rural settlement with a house, barn, animal stable and a small field of vegetables planted, a place like the one in the photo, where Pest Control should be done by hunting..
In the game we already have the structures and even the power lines (Hirschfelden and Mississippi) where the pigeons and crows could rest as in real life (they should only program a hitpoint xD)

Among the species you mentioned, rats, pigeons, crows, wood pigeons and domestic pigeons are a problem in rural settlements where grain is stored or animals are fed.
Just scaring them away is not a feasible option, nor is poisoning them, nor is it using agrochemicals or pesticides on crops, the ecological way to scare them away and reduce their population is by hunting them..

Even the Clay Shooting Range, bottles, metal plates, or other items would fit in perfectly as the noise of the shots would help scare away the animals.
So a set of "Repetitive Missions" could be added, something like "Kill x amount of rats" or "Hit X amount of clay targets at X meters", which is a way to get some extra money with those little missions. repetitive..

@small birch I think instead of a Beeman. How about a different brand. Like air arms or FX?

There some good similar areas in NEM xD

I love this idea, however I think it should be a small, prairie-style map (since we already have many deciduous & coniferous maps)
More wide-open fields, with wheat & corn growing. Small patches of tree and shrubs rather than forest.
