I'm posting this just to say, yes, we want elephant hunting in game. Duh, it's hugely requested and nobody will stop talking about it BUT
To be totally honest, I do not care enough for it to demand it be the very next map. I'd rather see it come at the tail end of the game's life.

Africa has so much INCREDIBLE plains game, so many different environments, that it would be a massive waste of potential to stop at just two maps. I believe the environmental differences and sheer variety of game in Africa would make four or five maps completely viable, the same way NA has so many maps Africa could absolutely support it. The same could be said of Australia, even Europe could make for a few maps. The environments alone would make a few returning animals worth it.

I'm not suggesting a particular map, or environment, I just want to point out that even if elphants are cool, they aren't worth ignoring literally hundreds of other game animals. What do you think?

I can wait for Ultimate Hunting to come out if I want to hunt elephants in a hunting game, plus I agree with your point regarding how many unique species Africa has weather we are talking the many antelope species like Roan, Waterbuck, Sitatunga and Bongo, the smaller species like baboon, spur-winged goose, various small antelope and civet cats and potentially dangerous species like Leopard, Giant Forest Hog and Crocodile

I think you have a great point Huxley and I think eventually COTW will make 3 or 4 African maps and I also can't wait for Ultimate Hunting

just tired of hearing about elephants being the only worthwhile animal for a send Africa map. there's too much amazing game there to ignore it all for a single species

One of the things that most of the "Africa 2.0" suggestions have in common is that they are really "Vurhonga 2.0" suggestions (i.e., another southern Africa proposal). I tried to add a bit more variety by proposing Ethiopia instead, where hunting is still allowed, and several of the old species we have now can be reused or reworked, but also a lot of new content. All I gotta say is...

Don't we even already have an elephant gun..? lol. Make that bad boy 9-10 and give us a new class of monster game to hunt! Woo!

So, bringing this back up to say I still want an African map devoted to plains game, sure add hippos for the big bad of the map that's fine. but give us another option to hunt buffalo and lion, add leopards if you have to reskin the cougars, just give us another African map before elephants end the game
