thir small plump game birds thir fast i think they would be a good back fill candeint for certin maps like new england SRP and maybe layton and mississipy i dont know thir full range but if you ever want to back fill some new upland brids i have seen them irl they fly fast at head level thir smaller then a pheast but bigger then a qauil roughly 7 ounces.
add steel shot for every gauge in the game insted vital hit you make steel shot the required ammo type only for water foul you can make a exseption for geese and ducks a like with the class 1 rifles in mind for gameplay resons but for shotguns another thing you could do and this works for both water foul and upland is a set amout of shot that needs to hit the birds body 3 would be a fair amout of course no max the 3 rule would help to stop these odd hits where the shot dident even make contact with the bird .eidits) gramer spaceing and just makeing it shorter and easyer to read

Well the thing about the vital organ harvest check is that it is always passed for every bird, regardless of where you hit it. So you already don't have to hit vitals

Ummm 3 lbs???? A woodcock barely would weigh a half of a pound. Averages about 7 ounces.

There is a problem with that harvest check that you ask for, and it is that class one animals have practically 1 point of life (Not all, but many), when they are hit by a single pellet they already fall, that prevents them from flying away until outside the render range in case of the birds (because before they went out of range and disappeared from the map) or prevented rabbits from running far (remember that rabbits did not leave traces of blood before the bloodhound arrived)...
If class 1 animals are lifeless and die after receiving a single impact, it is very difficult for them to register other impacts since the animal is already dead. In that case, most of the kills would not meet the harvest check.
