Why this is wrong Ammo? Ranger .243 and PSG 243???

Well, Wapiti is class 8. You can see this information beside the small circle icon in the left top corner, under the name. And 243 ammo is viable for classes 2-6. This information can be seen in the inventory if you hover over the ammo. As 8 is not in the range of 2-6, the harvest check will evaluate that as wrong ammo.
To add to this, the trophy score would still be 0, as you shot a female of species with antlers as their trophy type. As female has no antlers, there is no trophy to evaluate the trophy score.
