A lot of players have reported crashes recently and in several cases the evidence points towards save corruption.

As a result, players are loosing absolutely all their progress, including their lodges, with all trophies harvested, such as Great Ones, super rares, etc. All gone.

EW confirms they can not bring back lost progress as seen here:

I think it's reasonable to ask EW to come clean about the situation and announce when they plan to repair the save system. Either prevent save corruption or roll back the updates that lead to this.

Absolutely totally agree, We are not your testers EW! We can expect a working software since we paid for it. And i cant find any statement in the terms of use that we as players are meant to test this game and find all the Bugs for you. Its not about small things, this is about progression loose and massive game crashes. This is not the first time, in fact this has become routine that released patches need a hotfix right after

Oh, and test out the new updates on console as well. It seems to be that everyone with early access plays on pc. Id like to know if EW actually tests their new updates before releasing them.

Especially because I didn’t tamper with anything I just used a simple game mechanic that was working until yesterday, and because of that now all my progress is most likely gone

You would think more players would want this up voted so EW can respond and have this up and running. I guess new potential maps and guns are the player's idea of a working game.

Yeah people are completely oblivious and it's honestly disappointing to see them keep bumping their reserve suggestions even though they know this is an issue.

I said in the lodge megathread that EW should fix the game before adding more gimmick content, but apparently that "doesn't belong there".

I don't think it matters to them unless its happening to them personally. At which point you can bet your bottom dollar they'd expect everyone's attention on the matter.

It has allready become normal that patches need a hotfix right after. This needs to stop. I dont wanna fear everytime they release a patch that my game breaks. This completly takes away the exititment for the new features. Its allways like "lets see what new bugs we got this time"

If they could just make a way for Xbox to back up a save file like maybe additional Save slots it wouldn't be so bad working through the crashes until they have them fixed. They know it's happening to Xbox players losing their lodges. It would be nice to hear if they were going to try and address this. Just fixing the crashing isn't going to help. It will just happen next update. Please Ew give Xbox a way to backup our lodges because the cloud doesn't work. Xbox told me the only way was if the game had additional Save slots.

I backup my save after every session. Just in case. But i can imagine the horror of loosing everything. I think i would never play again.

I feel for any player on xbox right now. Lucky playing on playstation I can download my save to usb but still having the ability to manually save then having an auto save only would be good. If we could have the option to toggle it on for auto or off for manual saving.

That’s just me venting a bit, they both make great consoles but they have their flaws that make them pretty frustrating

So on the patch notes I see where it says PC will not try create a new save by overwriting the file. Does this mean it only helps PC? If my Xbox crashes am I still in danger of having a corrupt save. I don't see how this helps xbox players if it's for PC?

Either way if they are trying to fix auto save files or not. I still believe that we as a community require the option to be able to save manually.

You can save files manually already ... It's just not well known or documented especially on consoles

They didn't add additional Save slots for Xbox. I don't see any other way to bypass the cloud. I know they was trying something to make it where the files didn't overwrite when you crashed but not sure if they did. Luckily I haven't crashed since the last hotfix. So time will tell. We will probably find out next update 🤣

I think the fix was only PC. The patch notes said PC. I think if it happens on Xbox we are still screwed. We need additional Save slots according to xbox support when I contacted them about the issue.
