Crashing on xbox

So last night my Xbox was working fine I have a next generation console. I was duck hunting I went to bed and when I got on today it just crashes every time k try to get into the game it does not even work last night it was fine but now it’s not. I tried on my other Xbox that was also working last night and that Xbox did not work either. So I’m not really sure what is going on

You've really gone above and beyond to prove that this is an account related issue though. I don't think there's a lot of people who have tested with multiple consoles and accounts.

This is outrageous. The message says "Epic Games should have your purchase history..." in relation to missing DLC. Clearly this is a copy paste response because they didn't even bother to read that you're on Xbox.

This player is on xbox. On xbox the files are hidden by the operating system so there is no way to prvide corrupted saves to EW, and also no way to make manual backups for the player.

Luckily i once decided to use sonys consoles.. Backups on ps4 are no problem

Or, to be more precise, we can see a bundle of save files, in my case 8.1Mb. Can't view the files or copy them though. Just the option to nuke the files completely or leave them alone.

Hmm.. on ps4 i can upload them online or to USB Stick. I really dont know anything about xbox but its kinda sad you dont have any "real" access to your saves there..

then you're experiencing a different type of crash than the OP of this thread. Which is a good thing for you because your save file may be intact.

~~This is a good question but from what I can find, the game is not "Play Anywhere" as Microsoft calls it. It would appear the save file is local. ~~

Edit: No I take that back, there has to be some kind of cloud based update system because it does transfer between consoles 🤔

COTW has "cloud enabled" as a listed capability but I think that refers to the ability to play the game via cloud gaming if you have xbox game pass.
