Game lags really bad on some maps. Revontuli is the worst, northern parts of yukon and some parts hirchfelden have the same problem.

Sometimes game is like slow-mo and nothing works smoothly. I have the latest version and it did not fix the problem almost feels worse than before.

Anyone else having same problem? Any tips to fix this (other than buying a ps5..)?

Yup same problem for me on PS4. The lag and slow downs constantly... I'm highly upset after spending a lot on dlcs..I had to just quit the game and play something else that will work...

Hi @coarse steppe, @storm tendon! Sorry to hear you're having issues the game. Would you mind trying to clear your PlayStation's cache to see if it helps? To do that:

  1. Turn off your Console (do not enter Rest Mode).
  2. Wait for the light on top of the console to stop blinking.
  3. Unplug the Power Cord from the back of the console.
  4. Wait 1-2 minutes.
  5. Plug the Power Cord back into the console.
  6. Turn the Console back on.

Please let me know how it goes 🙂

I cleared my cache and it made no difference on a regular ps4 (not pro). Before the last update you could stare at the ground while trying to run and it would go faster but if you pick your head up to see where you're going it goes back into slo-mo.

#

Now if I want to walk or run at normal speed I have to put a waypoint on where I'm headed and call up the map while keeping an eye on the background to see if I get stuck against a tree or rock. I am hunting moose in NE and have to spot it just before shooting so I have a guide to run towards on the map screen in order to claim it.

#

Since the hotfix it seems to go into slo-mo more often right after I shoot, sometimes going back to normal after I claim the animal and sometimes not. If I had to actually follow tracks to find my kill I probably wouldn't be playing as it takes way too long in slo-mo, especially since the game clock for my need zones still runs in real time.

Yeah that didn't help. If you run backwards it will speed up. Big problem if you spook a herd. The slowdown will not even let you get a shot off most times. By the time you can actually get your gun to come up to your eye, all animals gone...If I hit a couple "ruffled grass" markers it hates that lol. PS4 regular here...

@cunning solstice @storm tendon @coarse steppe I think I figured it out, it's the waypoints!! If you set a waypoint for where you're heading the character moves fine but once you walk/run/crawl past it is when it goes into slow motion. I did some testing this morning and everything was back to normal so if you guys want to try just removing your last waypoint from the map when it goes into slo-mo it should return to normal.

#

I was setting waypoints on my moose grind at the edge of the water so I would know when to stop running from where I spawned in my tent and when to start crouching but now if I remove the waypoint before I get to the edge of the water it doesn't go into slow motion at all.

Yes the way point is a bug. If you are going away from a set way point then it will go into slomo.. Sometimes if you spook animals, once they start running, it you are near tracks it goes into slomo for me as well. Like gfx lag.. The waypoint glitch needs handle please devs..
