Crashes related to loadout selection?

So I tried to select the second loadout slot and my game crashed. I clicked "send report" on the crash report, closed that dialog when it was done. Tried to relaunch COTW through Steam, it crashed after the splash screens, but before displaying the main menu. I've tried it a few times, but it will not get to the main menu.

I'm having the same issue pretty much. I've tried more or less everything to get it to run again but it just won't. Maybe try verifying the files, it didn't work for me but might for you?

I verified the files. Didn't work for me either. I'm highly considering backing up my save files and such and uninstalling/reinstalling the game. Once I've verified the game is functioning with a clean install, try moving my backup copy back in to the game.

I've narrowed the bug down to the Documents\Avalanche Studios\COTW\Saves\_____\thp_player_profile_adf file. That causes the crash.

i can help you get going again, but it comes at a cost. it will zero out your xp, zero out your weapon scores, and zero out your bank account. deployed tents and stands will still be on the map for you to pick up but weapons will be, for the most part, gone.

i think i'll wait until i get a message from support and if i have to that'll be my last resort

@calm heath would it be possible for a copy of your save file? This will greatly help our team determine what is happening and if there is a better option for you moving forward.

Jaxy passed my save file on to the game devs. They're gonna take a look at it today. Jaxy said he'd let me know what they figure out. I probably won't hear anything until early this afternoon unless it's a really easy fix.

just a quick update. Our QA team is still investigating this and believes they have made good progress. They are working on a fix/solution.

This fix/solution, would this be rolled out soon as it’s accomplished. Meaning we will see a hotfix not rolled into the next update
