#Diegetic UI for an easy immersion increase

My suggestion is to have an option to move the HUD from the bottom right to the screen of the Huntermate.
I think for many people this would increase immersion by allowing them to play "without" the HUD, but still see all the info on wind/health/noise/visibility.
There already is this type of diegetic UI on the Huntermate for the missions, location and in game time. At least having the option to put the other HUD elements on there too just makes sense to me.

I would already be happy with it being implemented like in my mockup, but I have some ideas for small changes that could make it even better:

  • In the item field, dont show the Huntermate, instead show the item the player just switched from. This way you can still see your ammo. Alternatively the field could also just be removed.
  • The Huntermate now technically shows the direction the player is pointing twice. My suggestion to solve this is to attach the wind cone to the white player marker in the middle of the screen and remove the compass. This also frees up space to move around the remaining elements.

Thanks for reading, I hope this is considered. It would really make a big difference for relatively little effort!

This is a fantastic idea. Not only does it help with immersion but also gives more use to the hunter mate. I love the simple but effective editing. This is a top tier suggestion
