Cross platform between Xbox and PlayStation!!!!!

I hate that it isn’t cross platform between two of the most major platforms.

The devs have said that this is impossible because of how old the game is

Jaxy himself has stated several times that Crossplay is out of the picture due to the game engine’s limitations and age

That doesn’t make sense because they could add all this new stuff but they can’t add something that’s simple to add

That’s the thing though cross platform is not simple to add even think games made by huge developers like for honor it took Ubisoft a massive corporation years to figure out how to implement it think of how hard it would be for a small team working on an old game engine to implement it

Simple? The multiplayer service is provided by each platform, on PS the service is PlayStation Networks and on XB it is XboxLive, since the game does not have its own servers.
You can't access one of those services with a different console, neither would the companies allow it.
Nor will they convert CotW into Solo Online to place their own servers, as has already been said it is not possible due to the age of the game, it is not a very popular idea either because many users play in offline mode and would not be willing to pay for the maintenance of a dedicated server, they are expensive to set up and rent, it is a burden for the studio

My guy it is simply not possible. New content and crossplay are two very different things
