It causes the weapon it's applied to to break perspective and missalign far too close to the screen position

The Red Raptor reflex sight is way too close to the shooter's eye, it needs to be moved to the same or at least a similar position as the Markrsman Exakt sight. It should give the same field of view as the Exakt sight so it works as well for rifles and handguns. The Strecker sxs 20 ga uses the exakt sight in the perfect postion and the Cacciatore 12ga pump action uses the Red Raptor with the same eye relief as a magnified scope.

Also, it'd be really nice if the Mangiafico .45/.410 could use a reflex sight of any description

I have to say I was at first confused by your wording in the original post. (Not trying to criticize you but I want to help you explain the actual problem).

The actual problem is that the offset for the weapon itself is wrong for the given sighting device. The red dot sight moves the gun too close to the camera. It has nothing to do with where the RD sight itself is mounted.

Another problem (that I think contributes to low amount of votes) is that the pictures don't show properly in the discord preview.

So I made you some comparison images (see below).

But since you won't be able to put it in the original post, I actually recommend you make a new post; sacrifice your 3 existing votes for better pictures and a more descriptive title. Something like "Red dot moves gun too close for comfort" or similar.
