Hi @icy forge sorry to hear you're experiencing these issues. Have you tried to verify your Epic files?
To do that, please navigate to the game in your Library and click on the three dots or right-click on the game icon.
Then on the drop-down navigation, click Manage.
Once open, click 'Verify' from the list of options.
