Right now all it does is act as a minimap and a mission-detail reminder, but perhaps via right-clicking while it's equipped, the shown info can cycle between mission info, tracked animal info, and just the minimap even if you have a mission set to active.

I would love to have tracked animal info on the huntermate. I'm so tired if opening the map everytime I get a bird track to check if it's max weight.
