more huntable animal additions for Vurhonga Savannah

I know people talk about backfilling maps particularly Africa with other species. But there are some that people tend to miss.

1. Vervet monkeys. Yes in Africa particularly the southern part it is very legal and encouraged to shoot vervet monkeys there. Because they destroy so many crops and fields. This could be a class 2 animal that weighs 10-20 lbs.

2. Ostrich. Now I know they cull ostriches and I think they do have a few hunts for them. I also think that someone posted Ostrich as an animal for Africa before. I don't remember but anyways, this would be a very fun animal to hunt. A Class 7 animal because not only can it run 40 mph but also they can kill lions with a single kick. The females would be the ones that flee and the males would be the ones that attack you.

3. The Dik Dik. This one is a lot less obvious then others but you can still hunt this animal. It would be a class 2 animals. Also that would make it the smallest antelope in the game to hunt. But this would make it challenging as it would be agile and hard to spot like the chamois on the New Zealand map.

Dik-Dik could work just as well being a class 1 animal, the 22 Hornet will still be good for it, though if it is a class 2 I could take it with the Airgun.

Elands would be a good species for Africa

With the size of animals I put in the list I am aiming for small game animals. The Ostrich gets up to 250-300 pounds. But this list is geared more towards small game hunting.

More than likely they will be added if they make an Africa 2.0

If in the future the reserve of Africa 2.0 is added it would be possible to add some to Vurhonga by backfill, for now it is impossible for them to add new animals for Free, designing new animals requires hours of work and the studio must pay for them, that's why each new content is backed by the release of a new DLC

I wanna point out Impala they're all over the southern half of the continent and hunted as often as whitetail in the states, not to take the thunder of the lesser kudu, but impala is a more well known animal.

Second is Blue Duiker an antelope the size of a large rabbit that likes tangled habitat like the fever tree forest or down along the river. it would be a class 1 animal totally unique to the map. Despite a large population they don't have a huge native range, and let's face it, they're so small they wouldn't take up much space to start with.

No, dikdik and bd inhabit different areas, duikers are forest animals and dik dik love low scrub like around the first outpost.

More small game is always a good thing. tho duikers would be best in class one and dikdik in class 2 i think

Oh okay. So they would be on the same map but live in different areas.

Yup, duikers are pretty much forest only animals (hawks/eagles) but dikdik like long grass and open scrub

Oh okay. That makes more sense. What would you think about Vervet monkeys being added for hunting in the game?

I like them, it would be a good small game option to help bridge in squirrels eventually, though some olive baboons hanging around the rocky areas would also be nice. Vervets are hunted as pests as far as i know, so maybe a .22 airgun would be great

That would be fun. I think it would be a class 2 animal. Baboons would also be class 3 animal. I would love a .22 airgun, 22-250, and a 8mm magnum rifle as well.

I feel like the 8mm would be another 4-8 weapon, but hopefully we get a decent 2-4 and 7-9 in the new pack.

I wanna see a .350 Rem Mag a heavy medium bore 6-8 rifle, something to hit reds and Moose equally hard

Do you think dedicated guns for specific classes would be good or no?

idk, I liked classic's system better. calibers are more realistic and the warden just says things like ".270 is the minimum caliber for black bear, you will be fined for using a smaller caliber"

Yeah I liked that system a lot.

I would be okay with a system where if you violate the rules you get a big hit on the cash an animal gives. Like if .270 is the minimum for red deer, and you shoot one with a .243, then you get half the usual reward

Yeah. I think we do need a penalty system.

I would be pretty happy with it, all the rifles could be hard buffed to be realistic and it would be down to personal preference in hunting arms

Yeah. Almost all guns would be affected by this.

I'm dying for a lever action pack. a .357 with a seven round mag would be good for hogs/class three animals, a .454 carbine five shot would give the caliber more reach and fun, and a .450 Marlin rifle for 7-9 animals

Blue duiker would be cool. They could make it so you have to hit them in vitals which could give a real use to the .22 truncated bullets

A 410 shotgun would be useful. Especially if they add squirrels or pigeons

Either one would be fine, irl they’re pretty similar with the Lott beating it out by a little bit but even the win mag is near identical to the .470 irl.

That is true, it almost seems like the .470 should have been a .577 so we would have the big and powerful close range gun and then a less powerful rifle that could be used at a longer distance and still keep it in the realm of realistic
