Not much more than a few suggestions from me here, but I really want to hear from others on this.

Keep in mind that this is almost entirely for Class 4 and smaller

First, a new lever action .357, the ammo in game is actually great already but the revolver is limited by range and sort of loud for what it is to be honest. A lightweight lever action, either carbine or full length rifle, would extend the range by just a bit and give the cartridge a new use. It has such a wide range of use already it wouldn't take any change at all and still give us a cool new rifle for deer and smaller animals like lynx. a short rail on the barrel would be nice for red dot sights and scopes alike

Second, a combination gun, using the drilling's ammo swap mechanic. It would be useful to have a single gun with a .243 barrel over a 12 or 20 gauge barrel. it only offers one shot per caliber/gauge/ but allows a single weapon to cover all classes from 1-8. it could use regular rifle scopes to keep the 243 relevant and keep the range restrictions of the shotgun.

Third, another bolt action rimfire, preferably a .17HMR. It really would be focused on class 1 or 2 animals at farther ranges. Something with less bullet drop than the 22 and more accurate than the .22h (which would be fine as a 1-3 rifle so it doesn't have to compete with this or the regular 22).

To be Honest, none of these are major game changers and not necessary in the slightest, but they'd be really cool for those of us who love hunting the smaller game just as much as the big stuff

This is such an underrated sentiment. People always complain that all we get are 4-8 guns and that we should get weapons outside that range. Well, they finally made a large game pack now (+ a .308) so it's time to fill out the smaller class options.

Currently there are two rifle variants via DLC that I know of:
The Mosin Nagant, which to me is a hard sell because it's part of a meh weapon pack that I don't want.
Then there's the .22H, which may be the best small game rifle in the game (it outperforms the .223 in every regard despite the .223 being rated for bigger animals), but it comes with the worst reserve in the game, so I never recommend it to new players.

When you mention a light weight shotgun it reminds me that the current 20G double barrel weighs the same as the 12g double barrel, it makes zero sense (can this be fixed please?).
Otherwise, maybe consider an over/under situation with a small caliber shotgun + small caliber rifle combo (but make it not bugged like the Drilling).

There are already two semi auto .22LR rifles in the game so I don't see why not add another .22H in the small game weapon pack. It'd essentially be a reskin of the .22H with new sound effects and you don't have to buy Mississippi (Win-win).

I also wouldn't mind a reskin of the starter .243 rifle, because to be honest I just don't like the way it looks 🤷‍♂️

I've previously suggested as a potential stealth buff to the .223 caliber, that they add a varminting round to the .223 family. Essentially a FMJ bullet that over-pens the target with zero expansion, delivering less kinetic energy to the target and not ruining meat/pelt. (So it can be rated similar to .22H).

OR MAYBE YOU COULD JUST BUFF THE GODDAMN .223 ALREADY FFS

I love the idea of a small game lever action. When you said that it reminded me of the carbine wielded by Kurt Russels character in Quentin Tarrantinos The Hateful Eight (Picture), which is presumed to be a Remington 1858 "Cattleman's Carbine".

I mean i know that's not a lever action but same brass, same era. 😅
Anyway, imagine something like that in .357 and you can mount a pistol scope on it, and it comes with a dark bronze plated version of the pistol scope.

The 22 hornet should be a 1-3 class rifle. In real life people use the 22 hornet for deer hunting. Not suggested at all to use it but people do use it.

Also add some more high velocity round like the .22 nosler and 22 creedmore.

Rite there is a air rifle in the game already and I know we use them for small game like rats birds and squirrels and so on but in the game we can take out cass 2 to 4 with the air rifle seems a bit crazy to me but I'm no expert on guns and so on

I'm happy with this sort of rifle to be fair I use it in game and do think y can't it do class 3 so I'd be happy to see it get a change to class 1 to 3

#

I realize I'm not going to get the range and the class was checking to see if there was such a rifle out there

Yeah excactly, so the Doscent and the Zarza could have one unique ammo each.

A lightweight/subsonic round for the .223 could replace the hollowpoint round and make the gun a hell of alot more useful
