Every time I try and go into storage it crashes and I have to restart my ps4

Could you try doing so, to see if the problem resolves?

To perform a cache clear, follow the steps provided below:

Turn off your Console (do not enter Rest Mode).
Wait for the light on top of the console to stop blinking.
Unplug the Power Cord from the back of the console.
Wait 1-2 minutes.
Plug the Power Cord back into the console.
Turn the Console back on.
