a list or a chart in the codex that you can easly check so you dont throw away rares this is uselly not a problum for most speices but some of the more exotic spesies and water foul can be diffcult i know i thought light brown marlum trukeys were rare and most the reailbe un offiacl sources takes hours of reading or scrolling to find the fur type you want to check if its rare or not haveing a way in game would just make it easyer ecpsaly for new players who dont know anything about the game or how rares work
#a list of all rare fur/plumage

Yea
Actually a really good idea because all we have now is assumptions from the community summed up into an unofficial spreadsheet that doesn't get nearly enough support because the author is MIA.
And we're not allowed to have more precise data as result of Rule J and associated unwritten rules. 🤷♂️
Doesn’t have to list the precise chance of getting the rare, just labels it “rare” or “uncommon” etc.
Exactly.
Tbh? I wouldn’t mind if it did have exact percentages as an option, kinda like the companion app
putting it in the codex is one thing .... keeping it updated is quite another .... EW has not been very reliable at keeping docs updated
He's not MIA. He's still around.
You could find more precise data but you just can't post it here
I would prefer that there be a color code or icon on the harvest screen, next to the fur/plumage type, instead. I don't want to have to dig for the information but have it right there when needed
Having the list of feathers/coats in the CODEX is enough, the exact probabilities are not necessary, with the description containing the word "rare" or "uncommon" it is enough...
Although you could apply the Colored Text feature from RPGs on the harvest screen in the name of the fur type, "Purple = Rare", "Blue = Uncommon", "White = Common"
man I know many people who use precise data who are still in the server
Yeah I know. Doesn't make sense to me either 🤷♂️
Alternatively, EW could make an official list on their website if it's not easily implemented inside the game. 🤔
I think it would be a very nice feature to add some kind of rarity indicator for fur types into the game whether it be a chart or an icon next to the fur names. Idk about other people but I struggle to remember what the rares are for certain species, especially ones that aren’t the typical albino, melanistic etc. It would be nice not to have to refer back to charts outside of the game to know if I’ve found something special. Something as simple as a bronze star next to commons, silver star next to uncommons, and gold star next to rares in the harvest screen would suffice as a quick and easy way to identify fur type rarities.

Thank you for the mention
Np thanks for adding to the suggestion
This is my major concern with relying on EW to keep up with this stuff. Whether its on a website or in game . The problem is if they will keep it updated over time and not get lax because there is no profit or incentive for them to do it . Things happen within a business ... like the person originally assigned to keep this info updated moves away and no one is reassigned that responsibility .... Not knocking EW it's just the way businesses are sometimes ...
We already see this with the know issues list .... The players themselves are the ones that have the real incentive to keep this information up to date and current and even they let things slip ....
But I really think the players will do a better job of keeping it up to date. Providing they have a source to get the current information ...
Hell they could give somebody 20 bucks and all the information and it would stay updated for sure
Not even 20 bucks just the cost of the next dlc would do it ....
Yeah
I mean imagine just being the person that ew told to keep this right like you know how awesome that would be
I see you can even get a cc to do it look at everything they do now just on their own
I think of what the Angler is doing with the player council and think why not let players play an active role in some minor development tasks ???
