Pheasants getting backfilled to Cuatro was a great choice, and I think there's room for another upland bird in its broad valleys. Red-legged partridges are native to Spain and appear to be a popular game species there. I'm no expert on either pheasants or partridges but it would seem that of the two, partridges have the stronger preference for lowlands, so perhaps they could take over the current pheasant zones in the agricultural areas of the map while the pheasants could move a bit uphill. A second upland bird would be another reason to head to Cuatro over Hirschfelden, and the species is similar enough to other partridges that it could form a good starting point for adding another, like chukar if we get a Middle East or Central Asia reserve.

Honestly, this is one of the species I thought we would of gotten when it was first revealed that we were getting a reserve set in Spain
On the third day of Christmas
My true love gave to me
Three Fre-ench hens,
Two turtle doves
And a partridge in a pear tree
🎄 🎅 🕊️ 🪶
in an Italian map they would be awesome
The game needs this new species
And Common quail too. The pheasant stays in Hirschfelden Hunting Reserve with Grey Partridge.
These are very cool I saw some on teneriffe where they are quite rare. I also saw a beautiful Barbary partridge
