Animals like elephants, rinos etc.
Not in idea of poachers but keeping them low not to affect the wildlife.
For example: There are a lot of elephants in a certain area due to the high birth rate, you can hunt a certain number and after that you can just see/admire them and not being able to shot.

#

There is a mission in the Russian Region(forgot the name) where you need to hunt down the boars because they affected the other animals. Something similar here, but with exotic animals

Elephants would be Dicey™️ considering that all species of them are listed as endangered.

#

and rhinos would be In Poor Taste considering Vurhonga's story.

If we take all the animals that are considered endangered, we give them a story meaning they over reproduce, there can be a reserve or more with those animals and we can hunt a certain amount down.
It will add a certain spice to the game, in my humble opinion

Taking in consideration what you said about the story, yes, might be a poor taste but at the same time there can be a new DLC with.

As a story: we took al the endangered species over the planet and we created a reserve to keep them away from poachers and now some of them are over reproducing

Where the reserve, depending where you place it on the globe can have different species there.

Would still be PR suicide. It's ultimately up to the devs, but it would definitely be the one map DLC I would never get.

Rhinos and elephants could be done successfully and without public outcry with tags and proper back stories. The tags could also be expensive to purchase and act as another deterrent to mass killing those animals. Just being able to see them on the map would add so much immersion...

Paying a lot of money to hunt an endangered species is synonymous with Thropy Hunting, a type of hunting that the developers have shown to be against since the game came out.
and placing an animal that cannot be hunted on the map would only bring a million complaints from the community

Never said just place them on the map without being able to hunt them. I said just having them on the map would add to the immersion of the game. As for making the tags expensive that is just one way of keeping the wholesale hunting of those animals down. In reality elephants and Rhinos are both hunted legally using a tag system and the money used from the purchase of those tags goes toward the preservation and management of those animals. They can also use the hunt club to randomly drop a tag to players who don't have the money to purchase a tag.....

I can see both sides of this conflict. I think the exotic animals would be a fun concept but you need different animals.
