How about adding a Spook Distance Slider that ranges from maybe 50-100 so each player can alter their game to how they are comfortable playing? At 50, or minimal spook distance, the money and XP gained could be lower to compensate for the easier difficulty, and at full spook distance maybe a small boost in cash and XP for the added difficulty and realism?

Too gamey imo. COTW will become a slaughterhouse, and there would be no respect for the downed animals.

yep

#

if they are gonna do that they should have a dificulty system as a whole

#

it would divide the community quite a bit

I've seen a lot of people saying they want the spook distance lowered back to what it was, and a lot of people asking for suppressors. so without a slider, if the devs cave and do this for them, then it's easy mode for everyone and no one can adjust it back to normal if they don't want it easy. I think a Slider would be the most authentic way to please everybody at once... use it if you want it, leave it alone if you don't.

I mean if they add suppressors, nobody has to use them

I do not want the temptation of a slider. I like the sorta real life punishment in the game.

The whole issue with difficulty sliders is the inconsistency between trophies. Right now, we’re all on the same level, how often you’re getting trophies is based on skills and knowledge. Introducing a difficulty slider will create that inconsistency. People who play on a lower difficulty could be ridiculed/ignored for getting a GO because they’re grinding with a lower spook distance, eliminating the issue people have on higher difficulties. The problem becomes even worse should spawn rates be altered based on difficulty.
The best way to go about the new spook distance would be to reach a consensus on how far away animals should spook based on render distance
