I know we talk about having an Africa 2.0 or an Australian map but there are other areas as well to consider.

I think either mountainous middle eastern map would be fun and make it a goat hunters paradise. Add ibex, mouflon, angora goats although if they are domestic then don't add them. And other goat species in the middle east.

Also add a Japanese map. I have looked it up and they allow hunting there. It is strict but you can hunt. Have Sika deer, the little Japanese goat or antelope I forget what it is called. Raccoon dogs, and for a waterfowl put the whooping crane on there.

The closest place that would satisfy the definition of a Middle Eastern mountain map would be Turkey with animals like Bezoar Ibex, Mouflon (Konya or Anatolian), Wild Boar and Anatolian Red Deer to name some species.

As for Japan yes hunting is allowed and with a massive overpopulation of Sika Deer and Wild Boar it’s encouraged. There is also Asiatic Black Bear that can be hunted in Japan along with Copper Pheasant & Green Pheasant (native species), Bamboo-Partridge (introduced), hares, raccoon dogs and foxes. As for the goat, it’s known as the Japanese Serow.

As for the suggestion to add Whooping Crane, for one the Whooping Crane is endangered. Secondly it is a North American species and for the final point: The only Legalized Crane hunting I have been able to find is for Sandhill Crane in the USA and Canada

Okay. If it was up to me to add reserves and animals I would add the last 3 ducks.

Also for the 2 pheasant species, the Japanese Green pheasant does sort of resemble the melanistic pheasant from a distance. The copper is rather unique though

Those are beautiful birds. That would awesome to add to the game. I think the Japanese map would just be a map with no equipment or new guns.

I really like the idea of a Japan map. I think it would be the best looking map visually and would be a nice change of pace from other maps. As well as the species list would be a blast to hunt

Honestly I think a Japanese map would be pretty cool, we currently don't have any maps in Asia other than Medved (based on Siberia) so Japan would be something totally unique and different.

You are only naming animals but where will the reserve be located? In which prefecture or eco region would it be based?
Hokkaido Forest? Alpine Honshu? Taiheiyo Mountains? Nihonkai Forest?

Japan has many ecoregions with distinct forest systems

With the presence of Serow and Black Bear I would put it on somewhere on Honshu. I think for weapons either an Arisaka Type 99 or the Murata Type 13 Bolt Action Rifle, both Japanese Rifles.
