Can't really expand much on this. I think it would be a very useful feature to be able to add notes to the map. Something along the lines of a pin that has a small, editable text box pop up.

Yep lots of uses for a feature like this. Especially now that we have so many reserves with so many of the same animals ....

Perhaps a variety of pins to choose from instead ? Like a max weight or diamond pin, or animal icon pins for each species.
