As the title suggests I would love to hear more detailed thoughts and suggestions from our Hunt Club Beta test we just ran. The team is passionate about bringing this back and we want to make sure we do it right! How do we ensure it will be a fun and valuable addition (re-addition?) to our game?? We ask those playing! So chime in please and let me know what you think. Appreciate you all
#Hunt Club Beta Test! Give me your thoughts please.

Grizzly bear with long bow
It would be nice if we had longer objectives for the weekly mission. Like, it doesn’t really take that long to kill 35 uncommon animals if you’re on for more than an hour.
The only suggestion I really have for Hunt Club Beta is to increase the length of the missions, for both the daily and weekly ones
How would you increase the lenght of a daily mission. A day is a day.
I think the amount of kills daily and weekly with the different tiers is about right. keep in mind that not everyone can play for extended periods and not everyone plays with the run and gun style of play. Try to balance the objectives for all play styles and not just the grinders ....
First of all. The fact that the hunt club might actually be a steady thing is brilliant. So keep it going, please.
Yes, please. I usually stay in the same place for extended periods (tripod, treestand) rather than be all over. So including tripods and treestands in the missions, would be good. The amount of animals shot should perhaps be on the lower side, since you are stationary.
Also include night missions!
Not that I’m that much of a night hunter, but it happens 🙂
Increase the number of animals you gotta kill, make the objective itself longer
Ah, ok. Thought so. Wasn’t clear 🙂
Of course would like to see more objectives using different types of weapons bows, pistols and shotguns
I agree with Mike on this. Not everyone can play 10hrs a day every day of the week. Don't make the missions more time consuming please.
I don't like the idea of adding treestands to the missions, because some people don't have that DLC.
I appreciate that you are gathering feedback, at the same time I want to remind you that you have not released a known issues list in a long time and it's difficult for us to know if our feedback is coming through when it comes to qol and broken game features.
This is aimed at EW actual, not you personally Jaxy. I know you've been sick lately and I wish all the best for you.
Once in a while, you could make the prize something else. An expensive weapon, perhaps? and make the objektive difficult to match the high prize.
Just something else than just in game money, once in a while. I’m fine with the money missions, just to shake it up.
Weapon is too much. Maybe an exclusive weapon camo? they have the technology
True, but others do have that tripod/treestand DLC. So once in a while, I don’t see any harm in ‘excluding’, so to speak, those that do not have that DLC.
While I dont think there should be lots of objectives that require dlc, I do think that maybe one daily a week could require a certain dlc. This might be an incentive for players to buy more dlc which is good for the game as a whole ....
Perhaps a special tent camouflage. A Golden Tripod with lights (just kidding about that last one ;-))
Perhaps you could chain hunt club missions together, but you can only see part 1 to start with. Fx a 3 part mission. If you complete part 1, you get to see part 2. These missions could be generated for you randomly. Or be a week long mission for all.
I'm loving it! Just like the old days. (And the bug that gave you all the available cash at the beginning is fixed too. ) I hope that there will be some that are species-specific, even if they are only on DLC maps (because multiplayer exists for those without the DLCs).
Actually, instead of longer missions, I’d take more missions. My main problem was that I felt the missions were completed far too quickly, but if we get more missions it doesn’t make it impossible for more casual players to complete all of them but also gives us more to do
@normal heath I agree. I never play multiplayer, though. But I have all the maps.
Perhaps after you completed the planned daily mission you could click for 1 or 2 extra daily missions randomly picked from a mission bank. Those extra missions could be suited your personal COTW game inventory (DLC's and weapons).
Perhaps
Like once you’ve done a set of missions you receive an extra set of you have nothing else to do
Perhaps a kind of, “I’m bored. Give me a random mission”, suited your personal library. It might inspire you to try something, a weapon, that you rarely use. Or an animal you rarely hunt.
Or map, you rarely visit. You get the picture.
Everything worked well. The only suggestion I can think of is getting better navigation for controller users as it can be a bit confusing if you don't know it.
I really liked it. I don't grind but I like playing with a goal in mind. That's usually side missions on the maps that have them, but dailies and weeklies would be great for keeping that going, since on some maps I've finished all the side missions. As for feedback on the test itself, I wish it'd taken place over weekends instead of weekdays. I had the time to participate in the first week but not the second. Any chance we could get a summary of all the objectives so I can see the ones I missed?
HuntClub seems great to me, and I really enjoyed the daily missions, they are excellent for making good money, I missed them on days like Saturdays and Sundays, which is when I have more free time to play but because this time I did them all. I hope they keep posting more missions soon, with different weapons, certain minimum animal scores, in different DLC and non-DLC regions/maps on the same day/week, that way those who don't have it yet will have something to do and at the same time is being encouraged to buy those DLCs. My Spanish speaking discord community loved that BetaHuntClub is back and bringing new stuff to the game 👍🏻
I really like a daily challenge. It’s something when you want to play, but you don‘t really now where to start, you just do the daily or weekly challenges 👍🏼
Can we have it auto-collect the rewards. Sometimes I'll complete a mission midday and don't login again until after it's expired.
Love the Hunt club. It's great to use in place of missions, which I love
Its cool i guess, but honestly kinda pointless when you are max level. Unless you have rewards that can only be obtained through completion of it, ie: weapon skins, outfits, trophies for the lodge (like an actual trophy, not a stuffed animal), or something to that effect. I always imagined hunt club would be like a guild or a clan, and possibly having a hunt club lodge where multiple accounts could display their trophies (especially nice if harvested when playing together).
I was not able to do the hunter club on my Xbox.
As a solo player, non-lodger, max level, for a long time, I can still be in need of money. From time to time. It is though more a nice distraction for me. “Wonder what is on Hunt Club today”.
I wouldn’t mind winning a tent, or a tripod, fx. I’m still in need of those, now and then.
I'd like to see random quests procedurally generated as long as you want to do them. For the weekly (25 max).
I would love to see hunt club beta used to do holiday events in game (more a hot fix than an update to make it easier to implement)
That’s actually a great idea. If the reward would be a piece of equipment like tents, tripods, etc if you own the respective DLCs would be awesome. Though I feel like my initial point of extending the objectives rings true more than ever, as shooting like 5 animals to win equipment with $16k cash is way too easy
i for one loved having it back! i no longer need the expierence gains but love the added direction it points me and the free cash! the thought of prize packs such as ammo or free animal mount ticket would be awesome as a motivator to complete them more but either way its a huge win having these back!
why did you get rid of it?
Or a boat prize, or an inflatable raft, (like I saw some else is suggesting). I’m imagining here that a Float your Boat DLC might drift in from The Angler. You never know 🙏
Maybe a specific species mission could reward a camo or paint with the animals paw/hoof print? like hunting coyotes with the .243 gives it a skin that looks like coyote fur? or a sticker decal on the stock?
Is it possible to inject animals through the Hunt Club reward?
if this is possible then we could have "Hunting Seasons", a 15-day event where we must hunt only one species to complete all the Daily and Weekly missions, or a minimum amount of them, to access the final prize of the last day, a GO or a Rare Fur Diamond on our map
Not everyone can play that long a day to grind a GO in a conventional way, and this form of event would be great for everyone to access one, while the game will achieve more daily and simultaneous players to increase its statistics.
true, I think they should explore the options they can offer through the BetaHuntClub to maximize the potential of the game
There shouldn’t be animal rewards in my opinion. The whole idea with GOs and SRs is that they either require a whole lotta effort or extreme luck. The rarity of it gets taken away and you’re left with just another mission animal like the Medved bear since now everyone can just get one after a little bit of time. Sure, not everyone has time to grind every single day but that doesn’t mean SRs and GOs should lose all their value as a trophy to accommodate this.
I don’t disagree with having great ones be more accessible to the casual players but this isn’t the way to go about it.
I think that the trophy has already lost all value since it required an excessive amount of time and killed animals to get it, it is a completely unnatural way and contrary to hunting customs where the experience of tracking and hunting an animal is completely lost and where the bases on which the game was created are completely forgotten
at least that's what I think as a player with 850 + 1350 hours of play over these 6 years
At some point you have to realize that this is a game that has to create content for a wide range of players. Go's are an end game activity and it's deisgned for those players that have the time and ability to consume massive amounts of content very quickly. I dont really care for the grinding aspect of things but it's something you see in every game. When a player reaches the end of normal content then its a grind .... And a lot of people cant relate to that .... I dont play enough nor do I want to grind so if a get a GO it will because of luck ....
Again, I’m all for GOs being far more accessible to the casual player base, but I don’t want them to just be given to players because “oh hey you shot this and that and did this, here’s the rarest animal in the game”
I myself have about 2200-2300 hours and I fucking despise grinds. But I feel there should be time and effort put into acquiring such trophies. That’s why they’re so cool to begin with, they’re extremely hard to get and anyone that has them has achieved great success because they put in that time and effort
well said AD!!!!!!!! i totally agree with you, if you arent willing to put time in then you shouldnt get the hardest thing in game, you should get what you earn and if cause of time restraints only causual play you should be happy and shoot for getting gold which is easier yet still takes some skill and so on and so on!
Exactly. What’s the point of putting literally any time into this game if everybody is just handed the same thing after only a certain amount of kills. Besides, plenty of trophies are still more than available without putting a crap ton of time into this game. Setting up your own map so that you can quickly hop around and check a few hotspots definitely leads to rares and diamonds, so does multiplayer hopping for an hour
i do like the idea of seasons incorparated into hunt club but maybe leveled rewards for each individual and have rewards teired also! i work construction and my game time changes per season so i know all about not having time to grind but i slowly push away and use my time wisely to obtain and maximize when i can hunt! ive got about 3000 hrs between xbox and pc and have no great ones yet but my diamond count is growing and its something that brings me back every chance i get! so if you can only play for an hour a day then you have to spend game time setting up for that hour and do your grind as time permits! tiered rewards i feel fit everybodys time availabilities and gives everybody a reward to shoot for!
Max the daily missions like classic, if you complete let's say 63 daily missions you get a special .300 or something
Any news on when hunt club will return? Will it go live with the next update 🤞
I love the hunt club beta it's a great way to get money
Throw us a 🦴 will we get hunt club back soon?
Want it
I have always liked hunt club and never had issues with it. I like having a purpose to my hunting sometimes
I enjoy it getting you out and giving you something random to do and some different then normal
Longer objectives, decals for guns (ie kill 100 rabbits in 3 days to get a rabbit decal) as rewards, maybe other rewards like paints or things for the lodge
There are a couple suggestions here for exclusive rewards from the Hunt Club, but personally I don't think this game needs FOMO added. I don't enjoy it in any game, but in a game that doesn't need full servers to operate I really don't see a point.
I think money is a good reward because it lets people get whatever they want within the game, but if exclusive items did become a thing I don't think they should be from the daily or weekly challenges--they should be from monthly or longer challenges to avoid the FOMO.
excuse my ignorance .... but FOMO ????
Fear Of Missing Out. Some devs will use it to keep people logging in by offering exclusive rewards that are only available for a limited time. But it can be alienating to folks who can't play at any time on a whim, or just folks who come to the game later.
Take Red Dead Online for example: their battlepasses had exclusive rewards that are simply unobtainable now if you didn't grind through the pass back then. You'll still see people asking "How do I get this item?" and the answer is just "You can't."
Some games find a middle way. Deep Rock Galactic for example has cosmetics you can grind to unlock each season and to a degree you get to choose the order you unlock them. After the season is over the items don't disappear from the game, though, they're just added to the pool for random drops. It's a good compromise but not really applicable to CotW since it doesn't have random item drops.
Auto-claimed would be best, but at the very least the little number indicating how many can be claimed needs to appear on the Hunt Club button in the menu, not just on the categories after you click that button. That way you'd see it on your way to the System button to exit.
