It doesn’t work for mule deer when it could, and if I recall correctly the buck wheeze caller when it first released used to work for mule deer

if you have the "Whose Deer?" skill, the Grunt Caller works for a lot of species than just the ones listed; I get Roosevelt Elk to come to it, and sometimes White-tailed Jackrabbits. I am currently compiling a list of what I find attracted to what when using Whose Deer? (like Mule Deer come to the Axis Screamer), and I will post it once I feel it is complete or near-complete.
