#🇨🇦POLAR BEARS IN CANADA - Whiterime Ridge Wilderness: Based on the Northwest Territories 🇨🇦
1 messages · Page 7 of 1
Bruh I just noticed somebody disliked this
Give me Chernobyl with Fabled Two-Head Roe Deer 💀
The idea was more Eastern Europe with a full guild of European wildlife in general but sure, that can be part of the story mission
Eastern Europe wouldn't be the worse, and the Caucasus Mountains are sometimes counted as European (but are also considered Asian)
the one guy lmfaooo
it was him. he cost us polar bears

🇨🇦
Maybe the smaller map in December is the Greenland
Think about it, your never safe from the bears that way
I doubt we get another Snow map this year
But at the same time a bigger map would not only be more suitable for polar bears, it would allow more bears on the map. I still think the Arctic Map is going to be Canadian, especially if we don't get a remodel for grizzly bears with the Alberta map
Canadian or Alaskan for sure, but any Arctic map would be super!
If we were to get another Alaskan Map my money is on Kodiak, its got Kodiak Bears, Sitka Deer and various birds like White-tailed Ptarmigan and Emperor Goose. It provides an opportunity for that highly requested Roosevelt's Elk Remodel (Unless all the Elk Subspecies get a remodel with the new map)
But I do agree that the next map for this year will not be a snowy map, I'm thinking it is either a South American Map, Japan or an African Plains Game Map (Not Africa 2.0)
They said they were going back to two full size maps
i see
also a rare opinion, new England could've been a north american revontuli coast but they messed it up
NEM is the north american revontuli, many ppl love the map, including me.
i like it
just the lack of coastline for the many kinds of seabirds and ruffed grouse leave a lot to be desired
NEM - running the river at sunrise is one of the best hunts in the game
You can take everything on the map and it's always gorgeous
Not really. Revontuli’s whole schtick was that it brought like 10 new species.
No offense but this is how y'all sound
And what's wrong with that?
Kinda me but also not so much I got a bias to north america for sure but I've been wanting another 2 Africa maps and either Kazakhstan or Caucasus mountains as well
But alas I got Canada
Don't mind elk but the rest are boring af. Give me duikers, antelope, hippos, wolverines muskox and feral cattle or something
Ruffed Grouse and American Woodcock and others.
That most non american players want maps outside of America and not every second state get a reserve before Africa or south America gets another
Would love this, roe deer are really fun to hunt

🇨🇦

There is a good chance this could reach 1000 before the end of June
We want our Polar Bears
We want our Walrus
We want our Muskox
And we want our Dall’s Sheep
I still can't believe devs sat down and decided to do Canada in Alberta while knowing well about this thread's existence
They do have a roadmap, and they very well could have planned it before this thread
they usually have a planned roadmap anywhere from 18 to 24 months ahead, if not farther. it's entirely possible they already had Alberta planned in 2023 when MooseDragon made this thread
that's interesting to think about what things they could have planned that we don't know about..
Heavy on the dall sheep
He thicc
🇨🇦
Hopefully we find out the rest of the species for Alberta tomorrow
unfortunately alberta...
Full list is out
I’m pretty disappointed with the last two ngl. Like why Pheasant and Mallard?
Low hanging fruit.
I was hoping for Grizzly and loon, but was heavily disappointed and now I’m heartbroken
It was grizzlies and wolverines for me.
I’m surprised with the inclusion of ||woodland caribou|| on the Alberta map
Guess that means the Caribou on Yukon Valley are Barren-ground, which works out well for this reserves concept
On the bright side, a Canadian Arctic Reserve could still happen given how much space on the map likely exists between Askiy Ridge and Yukon Valley on the map
This Reserve could fit right in that space between Layton, Yukon and Askiy
did you added askiy ridge in or from where did you get this picture?
This is the original image that was posted earlier in this thread by @nimble dagger
I’m not sure where the original image originated from
oh okay if thing zareh added it in. if i am not mistaken he is good at doing stuff like this
I think both this and #1122396586866135181 would work well
This reserve concept is already focused on big game animals
This allows a Greenland Reserve to add species like Murre, seal species like the Hooded and Harp Seal and waterfowl like Common Eider, Barnacle Goose and Long-tailed Ducks
looking at this map it becomes really clear that South America, Asia and Africa are still pretty lacking in reserves. Hopefully the next map after Askiy Ridge will take us to one of those continents.
I think that's probably the best direction to go in after another NA map
I hope so, I can wait a bit longer for a Canadian Arctic Reserve as long as the next map is either
- South American Rainforest
- Asia in general
- African Plains Game Map
I hope we're going to South America for the next map, the tropical rainforest would be fun to explore after getting a colder map like Alberta
alternatively, a different tropical map like New Guinea might be fun too
If its not a South American Rainforest Reserve I can only think of a few other potential locations for a Rainforest Map
• New Guinea
• Yucatan
• Central Africa
• Malaysia
Central Africa would be great too
Yucatan could be amazing

🇨🇦
After finding out about the inclusion of Woodland Caribou on Askiy Ridge, I have decided to add an extra bit to the species list about how the Caribou on Yukon Valley and this map should be renamed "Barren-ground Caribou"
Add some scoters
Think that’s what there called also the king eider too
Bump
🇨🇦
@nimble smelt just watched a video on there being a wild black panther population in Ontario
Ontario map when??? 😂
If we did get true black panthers it will either be on a South American rainforest map (jaguars) or whatever African map brings us leopards
I know I'm kidding
We got tiger black panthers before actual black panthers 💀
I know I was joking about Ontario to
-
Meme

State the interesting fact there is a wild population albeit small of Indian black leopards let loose from exotic pet trade running around parts of Canada
Gotta love the exotic pet trade, one day a guy is breeding exotic big cats and the next a few of them got loose
The tiger king
950 upvoted before askiy 🤔 ?

Polar Bear, Walrus and Seal Distribution on Whitrime Ridge
Muskox Range, they do enter some areas of boreal forest and muskeg but are mostly a tundra animal
Because the caribou can cross ice floes and swim (New mechanic that polar bears will also utilize) on this map, they range across most of the map
In the reverse of Muskox, the Moose are more of a forest dweller, but if their status as a game species in Nunavut is any indication its that they don't mind inhabiting the more treeless tundra if they can find food
Grizzly and Wolverine Range: The Wolverine would be much rarer then the grizzly bear but both would be relatively uncommon. The reason for the grizzly bear occuring on the two islands shaded in red is because these bears have been expanding into the Arctic Archipelago on Banks and Victoria Island. The map also has boundaries between subpopulations of grizzlies and wolverines with the grizzly bear being more abundant in the west.
The Region Map of Whiterime Ridge Wilderness
Looks nice to me. Is the Tuktu River Basin supposed to have some muskeg in it, or is there just a lot of lakes in that area?
This map looks genuinely amazing. I just have a question. Isn’t Whiterime in Classic Alaska? From my understanding it is, but I could very much be incorrect
A mix of muskeg, rivers and boreal forest
Yes, Whiterime in Classic is mainly based on Alaska
The reasons my version is set in Canada
• Canada has the largest polar population in the world
• Canada is the only country where non-indigenous hunters from Canada and abroad may hunt polar bears
• We have an Alaskan map in Yukon Valley and if we do get another Alaskan map it would likely be on the Kodiak Archipelago
I further chose to base it on the Northwest Territories since it allows for Dall’s Sheep hunting AND Polar Bear hunting
Interesting, now let’s hypothetically say this exact map gets added to the game, but it is in Alaska. Would you be happy or unhappy? Just a little curious to see your opinion on the matter
I would be surprised and then disappointed at the fact we got another big game focused US map (I would be open to an Upland focused US Reserve)
I would honestly rather see a Greenland Map and have species that couldn’t make it be added to Yukon Valley
Plus if they do a Canadian Arctic Reserve I doubt they would use the name “Whiterime Ridge”
Upland US map would be really fun to hunt
Greenland could definitely be an interesting map, with all of the unique species it could offer to the game
And in terms of physical geography
Greenland is part of North America

Happy International Lynx Day (Learned that June 11 is International Lynx Day over on #1190729485583122482 )
🇨🇦
I think the pinnipeds can work the same way the crocodilians do
I think it could, they would spend more time in the water but that was the line of thinking I had when including seals on the species list back when I initially made this suggestion
I guess the Caribou on Yukon are now going to be called Grant's Caribou, I guess I made a good call having the caribou for this map concept be referred to as Barren-ground Caribou
if we get the arctic we could have 3 or 4 caribou species bois
imagine we get barren-ground and peary;s
Caribou grand slam
Where is that from?
I have absolutely no idea now I googled it like 6 months ago
Was that for CoTW?
No the artist created this (alongside a wisent, bear and wolf fur variant chart) for a Horse Art Role-Play Game (HARPG) that is set in a fictional Scandinavia, and yes I just learned that horse art roleplaying games are a thing

Somethings that could be done alongside this map
- A New Trophy Lodge set in Northern Canada with #1241417134832222319
- Make the 45-70 & 30-30 Rifles the weapons they were meant to be
- The 45-70 has been used to take down elephants and therefore the 45-70 could get some special ammo that covers Class 6 to 9 Species
- The 30-30 could use some new ammo types that can be used for Class 3 to 7 Species like Elk and Black Bear
- A #1095460412067156048
- A Grizzly Bear remodel
(946/1000)
I find the lack of common eider disturbing
I did not wish to have too many birds on either list
🇨🇦
I would hope that if we got an Arctic Map it does not come with some fantasy-styled Great One
But at this point well will only have to wait and see
How about a polar bear wearing a Coca-Cola jacket for realism

Ya’ll think this is gonna be the next map in winter? I wouldn’t mind it since i prefer winter maps in winter and summer maps in summer
While I would love to see this map before Africa 2.0, I would also like a break from the North American and European maps in favour of something like another South American map or an African Plains Game map
Same i just wish it was reversed, i don’t understand why they release winter map during summer
i know they’ve done it before with revountouli

essential & non-essential species list here ⬆️
next map is 99% africa 2.0, Tanzania, namibia or ethiopia, we got Askiy ridge in summer and we will get Africa 2.0 in Winter i hope.
Africa 2.0 been suggested for awhile now.
Is this comfirmend or is this fake ?
We don't know that 100%, there is a chance we are either going to South America or get an African map. If it is an African map I hope its a plains game focused map, we can definatly have more then 2 African maps in this game at this point with the new world map
Some say it will be Japan, apparently Jaxy suggested it would come and it’s been on this server a while apparently
Jaxy mentioned it few times last year on streams and said he thinks it's a rly cool idea, and then they released Japan on the Angler too, so I know for a fact it's on their list, but we don't know when, I just hope the map looks like the "Ghost of Tsushima" game
is a suggestion
Can’t agree more
🇨🇦
(954/1000)
just because it is something you [or most of the community] wants doesn't mean that's what we will get. Africa 2.0 has been requested for years but we haven't got it yet. same with more older firearms, silencers, feeders, boats, horses, more realistic ballistics, and so much more. EW doesn't seem to care.
i know, but it doesnt really make sense why EW is ignoring our suggestions! what could they be working on better then africa 2.0? just my opinion that it will be the best map
Maybe they have something different in mind, it’s their game but we can have our voice in some ways if it’s something they agree with. But they’re the devs they decide what to do with it, i do agree tho about Africa and there could be so many maps based in that place, but that discussion should be held in a thread about Africa, which this one isn’t
To bring the thread back to the original topic here is the current version of the map concept
for what
is this for the Whiterime ridge map
no for an african plains map that is set in australia with animals from south america
of course it is for whiterime what did you thought ?
well how was i supposed to know
So if you are in the Feedback channel there are several threads with seceral diffrent topics and Suggestions for the game. This one is (as the main message sayed it already ) a reserve Suggestion Set in the canadian artic called whiterime ridge. If the creator of a thread shares anything concept releated the chances are pretty danm high its suposed to be a concept for the map. In this case moosedragon (the creator of this post) shared a concept Art of how the map would Look.
Thats how youre supossed to know that the map He shared was for whiterime ridge.
im new to thehunter discord thats why i dont know
It’s ok bro we can’t all know everything despite how obvious it may be to others
ok

Yeah I love when slugs have negative pen and buckshot broadside from 30m on vitals can't even make it to the lungs to ya know shoot the buck
Also .300wm should be dropped to class 6 or 5
.308 should have better pen than 30-06 and 30-06 should have more expansion and stopping power over .308
Wrong thread
I know that's my one off topic message
Sheeeeesh
Idc but i recommend typing that in the weapons talk thread you have some good ideas

So up north boys how we feeling about some bombardier sleds instead of four wheelers
1000 before December? 💀
Only time will tell
We were supposed to get 1000 by June 17th lol
1000 by December seems reasonable
🇨🇦
Tbf the post really died hard
It lost momentum because the dev teams said "no polar bears and walrus on the Canadian map", I do plan on occasionally bumping it until a Canadian Arctic Reserve is announced which could take a long while, in the meantime I hope we get stuff like an African Plains Game Reserve and a new South American Reserve
Yeah 😦
I imagine this will get more traction or whatever you call it when winter comes around, some are expecting this to be then
While it wouldn’t surprise me if this did get traction
I doubt we are getting another North American Reserve for a while
The game could have at least a few more years so I imagine we are still likely to get a Canadian Arctic Reserve
Yeah i remember Vivi saying something about them not yet being able to give a map like the Arctic justice
yet*

You got a picture?
Yeah wait 1
Notice the face isn't bloody so whoever did it managed to survive too
yeah it had to be sleeping or smthn
Had to have been whether naturally or tranquilized who knows
Three possible rares for polar bears: Bloody, Algea and T-34

Had to have been a war thunder player

Top of the Thread ⬆️

IDK if anyone here has had Experience with Polar Bears or has friends that have it, But Polar Bears are Really Tough so Tough to the point that at 100 Metres they can be Fatally hit with a .375 H&H and Charge you before dropping (It happened to a Friend of mine)
I will take your friends word for it, I do have an understanding that polar bears are probably one of the toughest predatory big game animals around, I guess I was justified in making them a Class 9 Species, it would be cool to see that happen in game when these bears do get added to the game
He's seen them Shrug off Shots from .338 Winchester Before
.375 H&H is The Least Powerful Caliber you'll see being used on Polars so in Addition to this Reserve having a New crossbow it also should have a .416
And Polar Bears have a Much Wider range in Canada than People Realize (The Bright Green is where you can Find Polars and the Tiny Red dot is my General Area)
Also my friend constantly states that the Polar Bear is THE Toughest Big game Animal in Canada and the Toughest Predatory Land Animal on Earth
This guy has Killed Dozens of Moose, Elk, Grizzly, And Bison but Polar Bears are the only thing he shoots Twice
Thats more then enough reason to have them as a Class 9 Species when they come to this game, I do have to ask though, does he have any experiance with muskox?
He has Slight Experience with them, but he Hated Hunting them Because he Couldn't tell where the Shoulder was from 300 Metres Away XD
I've read that they can be tricky to shoot because that hair hides where things are
Yes but he does Recommend .270 At the Minimum for them But only at Close Range
If anything I'd bump them down to Class 7 Because if you can Hit them Right they go down Pretty Easily (So I've heard)
Thats good to know
To Quote my Friend "with Moose, Elk, Grizzly and Bison I never need to Shoot them Twice but Polar Bears are a Very different ball game. You absolutely cannot take a single chance with them so it's best to shoot them Twice or Even three times depending on what your rifle is Chambered for"
This Guy has been Charged by Grizzlies in Alberta and was Only Mildly shook but when he Is Driving around Hudson Bay in the Winter and sees a Polar Bear his face goes Red
I don't blame him for being wary of polar bears, everything I have read about them indicates that while they prefer seals, they won't hesitate to try to eat a human
He isn't Weary of them, He's Terrified of them
Fair enough, but the word "Wary" does mean "feeling or showing caution about possible dangers or problems.". "Weary" has a different meaning
I suppose "Terrified" is a more suitable word though
Got the two Confused LOL
And Polar Bears are much Bigger than People Realize, Most Grizzlies average out at around 900 Pounds while Most Polar Bears average out at 1300-1600 Pounds
Largest Land Carnivore for a reason
So yeah Class 9 Is the Only place they Belong for Call of the wild Because of their size, Durability and Aggression
🇨🇦
A potential weapon pack for this reserve: Dangerous Hunts Weapon Pack
- Weapons: 416 Magnum Bolt-action Rifle, Reserve Draw Crossbow and 405 Winchester Lever-action
- The 416 Magnum Bolt-action would cover Class 8 & 9 Species and will cover Class 10 Animals when we get those (Based on the 416 Remington Magnum)
- The Reverse Draw Crossbow is a must as we only have one Crossbow in the game right now
- The 405 would be a Lever-Action Equivalent to the 375
Perfect Pack
Also I'd put walrus in Class 9 Because my friend has seen Them Shrug off .338 Winchester before
I recall having them set as a Class 9 Species
Oop my bad I see them there now
No shot I've been near there for work and caribou hunts
From North Bay in the Nipissing district
Although you can call it North Fent or North Delhi now
No offense no political stuff to the mods that read that it's genuinely what's going around
Seen them once in Newfoundland but from afar and had a favorable wind to keep it that way
My buddy who got posted in Nunavut tho at a different camp then me had his next door neighbour get mauled by one

Its only second place to #1195097534239088720
Isint it also the second most upvoted Suggestion on the entire Server?
Which is the third most popular?
Must be either "more information in the lodge " or "highlight rares in harvest screen" . I dont recall the exakt names but both were close to 900 and both were made by zareh.b.g
Ok thanks
I believe it's the British Columbia map.
Oh yeah i guess that’s what i originally meant, i didn’t even pay attention to what i was saying
ohh you meant the maps and not overall, yeah its british columbia then
yeah sorry for being unclear
Caucasus Mountains and Grizzly Bear rework is somewhere up there, top 10 if I had to guess
grizzly bear rework could be top ten, caucasus mountains are more like top 20 or top 30 i think
I really wish you could sort by likes now…
i dont know a discord feature that lets you sort by likes, so we would need an another solution.
maybe some new post tags like 200+ or 500+ so you can atleast serch for that.

Almost 1k
Just 41 short
This was the Canada we should've got, this was the Canada I was praying for.
40 short now
Just in case anyone wants to look over the species list and map again without needing to scroll to the top or checking the pinned messages
Returning Species
Grizzly Bear (Remodel)
Moose
Snow Geese
Rock Ptarmigan
New Species
Polar Bear: Class 9
Walrus: Class 9
Muskoxen: Class 7 or 8
Barren-ground Caribou: Class 6 (Renamed Grant's Caribou, so could qualify as a returning species)
Arctic Wolf: Class 5
Dall's Sheep: Class 4
Ringed Seal: Class 3
Canada Lynx: Class 2
North American Porcupine: Class 2
Wolverine: Class 2
Arctic Fox: Class 2
King Eider
Tundra Swan
Spruce Grouse
Arctic Hare
Hoary Marmot
Could we get peary caribou instead and also no moose?
I second the No moose because they are just on too many maps already and the NW Territories and Nunavut (Which are what this map is based on) aren't well known for moose
I would bring Arctic wolves down to Class 4 because wolves as a Whole are much smaller than any class 5 or Class 6 Animal and aren't that tough IRL
The .223 Remington is One of the Most popular Calibers for Wolves In Canada too
Peary’s Caribou are found on the Arctic Islands of Nunavut and the Northwest Territories and as the map shows, this is more of the mainland, hence Barren-ground Caribou are more fitting
But the Peary’s Caribou (alongside the Mountain Caribou) are on my “Non-essential Species list”
As for Moose @mint lintel , I did include the moose with the intent of having them be restricted to the southern half of the map, I could go further and have them restricted to the Southeastern Quadrant of the map
As for Arctic Wolves and wolves in general, I could bump them down a weapon class
I do think the Grey and Iberian Wolves should be bumped down to Class 4 as a lot of the good anti-wolf pack guns cover Class 4 species anyways
Ah good idea, Frankly every Class 4 Firearm should drop wolves instantly with a Double lung shot
IRL as Teenagers Me and my Friends would Get out .223s and Go wolf hunting on my Family's Land
Don't want to self advertise but I wanna self advertise
#1375853270890840245
I honestly prefer yours because it doesn’t have moose
Yeah and no
Arctic is cool and this map concept is one of if not my favorite but the Canadian Rockies are a staple for hunting as well and Canadian culture as a whole
Although with that being said more Canada = more better
Agreed, especially on more Canadian Maps
I would hope that for any future North American Reserve we get, a few of them are Canadian maps like the Northwest Territories, British Columbia and more
I'd say a eastern Canada one but it's essentially NEM but colder and some different small game options
Unbiased aside
Yeah the arctic, NWT, BC or Newfoundland for sure
Thank you, we all sit in the same boat for wanting the same Arctic tho, even if our visions go slightly apparr
I guess, would just really really not prefer moose but yk what am i gonna do if it happens
But but moose is a signature Canadian animal
The only province or territory that I am certain does not have moose is Prince Edward Island
Of course it lacks big game hunting to begin with from what I hear
But as far as any future Canadian Reserve goes, it will very likely have Moose
Honestly beaver, Canada Goose, polar bear, loon and moose gotta be our top 5 symbolic animals
Idk what other animals are often associated with Canada
Canada geese and Caribou I would think
I had actually intended on making a PEI map idea like Salzwiesen Park but I was gonna include Whitetail Deer 😬
Ultimately I never finished it because well nobody likes NA maps except Arctic and BC
Idk, people are somewhat receptive to Eastern Canada
Plus we got Askiy Ridge in Alberta, which seems to be a well-liked reserve despite the amount of returning species
I think people would be open to a NA map that's basically like SP or Revontuli and has more of a waterfowl/upland game focus. However, they'd probably need to take a break from NA for a couple of maps before they can do that, because I don't think that would go over well right after Askiy Ridge.
Taking a break from North America (And Europe) is something I can agree with
yeah I hope that the next map is in Asia, Africa or South America. Those three continents need more maps on them.
True I mean the Eastern Canada maps I did never gained any traction so I find it somewhat difficult to believe the " somewhat receptive " part of your message
EW proceeds with a Europe map in December 💀
for some reason my intuition says it's west/central asia like Kazakhstan or Mongolia; please lord let my instinct be correct
Yeah that'd be cool
I pray for this I'm talking Hindu Kush, steppes, Altai and REAL mountains
East Canada for a small game map would be cool
I have a very high feeling that the next map is a european alps map, but i must say, if they do that one right then thats the last europe we needed.
Every europe map beyond that would be new england 2.0 ...
Hello Janny long time no see
I think the next map might be Japan or Mongolia
Idc, we have too many moose maps, it becomes mostly the similar experience when they’re added, we don’t need moose everywhere they are
I still think some new maps even if with the same species could be interesting but they'd have to offer something that other maps don't plus I don't think every map would have alot of new species if European like Salzwiesen Park did so I could see a few if they perhaps added like 2-5 new species or something but that's just what I think
Same thing goes for Whitetail Deer, Red Deer and maybe even Fallow Deer too
Yeah except i’d want red deer for one specific map, which is Scotland if it would happen. There wouldn’t be too many new species except for some upland birds and smaller deer but hunting red deer there would be an epic experience. That being said i think they should swap out red deer on Emerald Coast for something else, they if anything ruin the vibe there
I mean if the UK was done it'd have to be England, Wales and Scotland all in one because I can't really see separate Scottish and English maps but I'd love Chinese Water Deer and Muntjac in the same map.
This is certainly off topic from the post so I think we'd have to either move our conversation somewhere else or leave it
Agreed
Considering the last two maps we got were set in Germany and Canada
I would hope we either get South America, Asia or Africa (Plains Game map would be good)
what I'm really hoping for is Asia, but if EW surprises us and gives us that Amazon map we've all been asking for, I will be happy with it.
and it's a no-brainer that any Africa map will get me excited
Okay valid but Canada without moose is like America without unnecessary guns
I get that, you always have Alberta to hunt them on, but if we’re getting more Canadian maps i’d want to get a totally different experience. In the Arctic i want to go for arctic fox, polar bears, musk ox and so on, in British Columbia i want to go after wolverines, stone sheep dall sheep. Otherwise what is the point if the same animals are always gonna be there?
Here are some points I would like to make regarding the Moose debate
- Seeing as how Elk & Caribou/Reindeer are both divided into subspecies, doing the same for Moose would make each map with moose feel more unique, for example NEM would be the only map for Eastern Moose while Yukon Valley would have the giant Alaskan Moose
- British Columbia is just as famous for moose as it is for its Stone's Sheep, Mountain Goat and Mountain Caribou, plus Moose are often hunted alongside Dall's Sheep in the Northwest Territories
- If a Canadian Arctic map ends up set on the Mainland area, then yes there could be moose present but they would probably have a limited distribution, which would prevent them from overshadowing animals like Polar Bear, Muskox, Dall's Sheep and Walrus (They have a limited range in Nunavut: https://www.gov.nu.ca/sites/default/files/publications/2022-01/Moose.pdf )
- Now if it was set in the High Arctic, then no moose, but also no Grizzly Bear or Dall's Sheep
- As others have said, Moose hunting is basically associated with Canada and only one province has no moose on account of it having no big game animals at all (Prince Edward Island), in fact some moose hunting does take place in Nunavut (mostly by locals for meat)
I mean as long as there is more difference to them than just the name like size and fur i’m 100% onboard, because if it’s gonna be the same moose you see everywhere i hope you see my problem with this. I know there is a pygmee moose in USA but not exactly where it could fit in i’m pretty sure someone said SRP but yeah
There is no such thing as a “Pygmy Moose” but I know your talking about the Shiras Moose which is the subspecies that could be represented on Layton Lakes since that subspecies lives in Washington and Oregon (alongside Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado and Nevada)
Moose definitely need distinct subspecies in this game.
Agreed
I dont think it's in the us Canada or the Arctic and I think Europe is somewhat unlikely as we got it not even a year ago, I hope africa but that doesn't seem that realistic, I think it's either in Asia or Latin America, maybe hawaii but I don't really see that as likely, I could imagine, the Yucatan, middle east, Japan, Mongolia or something in central Asia quit well
Australia 2.0👀
Africa isn't that unrealistic if they stick to Plains Game animals like Kudu, Hartebeest and Waterbuck, it still leaves room for some dangerous animals like Crocodile and Leopard, but I do agree that South America seems very likely and I would be happy to see an additional Asian map (especially if it has Argali)
They just seem so scared of Africa but I pray it is
They are overthinking it that is the problem facing future African Reserves
All they have to make sure they do is make the terrain and animals fit the part of Africa the reserve is set in
For example if the reserve is a plains game reserve set in Namibia, don’t include animals like mallard duck and Thomson’s gazelle
Yes I agree, they should treat it like any other continent
I think they are wanting to have other reserves first and not want to lose a lot of fans for the game, i don’t see any other reasons why they ain’t doing it.
An African Reserve focused on plains game like Greater Kudu, Hyena, Impala, Waterbuck and more would make a lot more people happy then you think, heck there is an entire thread dedicated to the Impala, I would happily wait for a Canadian Arctic Reserve if it means we get a few more African maps
Yeah and i think they realise that since they look through the most popular threads often (this was said by Vivi recently in the ”Is it time for another Q&A” post in feedback. I would also be happy with that suggestion as long as it brings remodels too. That’s why i think they don’t have it planned in the near future because they are following their roadmap of other things they want to achieve, but i really hope i’m wrong. As anyone else on here i can only speculate on what’s to come
We would
Eland
I rest thy case
Just was thinking about this: when they asked about which map we would want (which was Emerald Coast or Australia), they did a poll for this i remember i saw a picture of it, wasn’t the Arctic on that poll? And their reason for not making the Arctic happen this year was they wouldn’t be able to do it justice? How come we were able to vote for it if they didn’t even have the resources then? Someone please make this make sense
I imagine if we get a Canadian Arctic Reserve a lot of the weapons from the new weapon pack would be great for the smaller game animals like Arctic Fox, Ptarmigan and Arctic Hare
Then the 257 would cover Caribou, Seal, Arctic Wolf and Dall’s Sheep
I've already been putting the .257 to good use on Caribou, Grey Wolves, and Bighorns, so there's no question it would work on those. The .410 would be perfect for Ptarmies and Hare!
The poll that was was before i was active in the community so i don’t know the dialogues from that time do you guys have any answers to my recent comment?
I think they said that they felt they couldn't do it justice yet.
Yeah but the strange thing is is that it was in a poll for what map we would want to see next, in the same poll Australia was in and two more i believe
Idk. No clue why they would offer it as an option if they're not ready for it. Same with Africa. It's misleading. What I have noticed in the past few questionnaires/polls however is that you can start to get a decent idea of what an upcoming map might be. Look at the antler variation and fur variation polls from last year. Almost all the options to choose from ended up being on Askiy Ridge. Something to keep in mind and look out for.
Oh yes for sure, but i feel like that means they’re gonna change things up to build more hype maybe idk. And yeah it’s misleading and it isn’t helping that the community interaction is basically none nowadays since the streams are gone
And participation in feedback is seriously about to fall off after today...
Yeah people are losing faith and motivation since they notice their effort isn’t doing any difference anymore, there was a time where they cared and that wasn’t that long ago, the recent updates and patches have gotten worse one after the other, and basically no big feedback suggestions were resolved. This doesn’t bode well for the future of this game
So to bring things back onto topic
From what I could read regarding seal hunting calibres in Canada
A calibre like the 30-06 is very useful for taking seals on ice from long range, especially the larger species like Bearded Seals
But when hunted from boats apparently smaller calibres like the 22-250, 223 and 243 are used
I may update the weapon classes for both Ringed Seal and Bearded Seals (which could replace the moose in order to keep my species list at 20 species) to reflect this considering their respective sizes
Species List Update
• Moose is now listed as Western Moose
• Bearded Seal added as a Class 5 Species (they are a larger species of seal)
• Arctic Wolf down to Class 4
This could definitely inspire a multi-mount or two with Muskox and Arctic Wolf
And this would be another fantastic multi-mount idea inspiration involving Muskox
The name “Muskox Huddle” would be appropriate
Could we have this species with red antlers, i know some moose get red antlers
That’d be the sickest and biggest multimount ingame
I honestly think that all of the wolf subspecies in the game should be Class 4, they're not really big enough to be anything higher imo
It would make sense
Plus it wouldn’t really change what guns are used to fend off wolves
Wouldn’t class 5 be more realistic?
Weather wolves get bumped down to Class 4 or 5 it is obvious that wolves are far from being a Class 6 species
As far as the subspecies go the Iberian Wolf definitely needs to be bumped down to Class 4, the Grey Wolf (which should be split into Northwestern Wolf (Askiy Ridge, Yukon) and Eurasian Wolf (Medved)) could either be Class 4 or 5
Yeah class 6 don’t make sense, plus i might be wrong but they do look too long in the game also, like their bodies should be shorter and a bit stockier maybe
Some potential new items that would come with this reserve
• Decoys for King Eider and Tundra Swan
• A new motion-based decoy for attracting predators like Lynx, Fox and more
• Hopefully a functional boat for players to use
Tundra Swan and King Eider Decoys
And something like this would be a good addition to come with this map. It could attract animals like Arctic Fox & Canada Lynx on this map, Coyote and Bobcat on Rancho, Foxes on New England Mountains or maybe even the elusive Snow Leopard in the high mountains of Sundarpatan
Would add to some interesting gameplay, so for sure
Considering that the Salzwiesen also came with a new weapon pack and new dog
I think that a weapon pack and a new log cabin themed trophy lodge should come out with this reserve
The Guy who Took that Polar Bear with that Bow is Indefinitely Clinically Insane
Considering how dangerous they are and how open polar bears are to the opportunity to hunt people you have to be brave and lucky at the same time
Or just flat out insane
Another feature that would help this reserve stand out from other caribou/reindeer maps
Massive herds of Barren-ground Caribou
For gameplay purposes these herds wouldn’t number more then 40 and would roam about in specific areas of the map
I think I will draw a range map for each of the herds present on the map later today
Since I forgot to make the caribou range map here are some images of a barren-ground caribou from the Dolphin Union Herd, a herd that migrates from Victoria Island to the mainland
The Barren-ground Caribou Herds of Whiterime Ridge Wilderness
While the caribou and reindeer in the game are somewhat sedentary, I want the Barren-ground Caribou of Whiterime Ridge to move across the map in large herds that number between 20 and 50 caribou
The herds so far present on the map include
- The Grizzly River Herd (Orange Line), which inhabit the northwestern parts of Whiterime and come into contact with caribou from the Arvik Coast Herd and Northern Mountain Caribou, they travel in 3 large groups numbering 45, 35 & 30 respectively)
- The Arvik Coast Herd (Cyan Line), which mainly lives in the Arvik Coast region, they are split into 3 groups with each one numbering 25 caribou each
- the Whiterime North Herd (Magenta Line) spends their time on Arvik Island (whale shaped island) and often travel down to the Whiterime Ridge Peninsula in two large groups that number 45 & 50 respectively
- The Whiterime South Herd (Yellow Line) travels in 3 smaller groups that each number 20 caribou per group
- The Tuktu Basin Herd (Green Line) travels in 4 similar sized groups (20 caribou each) along the Tuktu River they get their name from
- The Aiviq Point Herd (Red Line) is another large herd with two groups that both number 45 caribou each that live in the eastern parts of the map
Because they stay on the move your best bet for hunting them is to figure out the path your target herd uses and set up an ambush. There are also smaller groups that follow the same movement patterns (these groups are between 5 & 10 caribou)
As mentioned I have decided to include Northern Mountain Caribou and I have included their range map, as far as gameplay goes they are no different from the Grant's Caribou, Woodland Caribou or Mountain Reindeer, its just the Barren-ground Caribou that move about in large herds (And the barren-ground caribou will swim across water to reach their destination)
We just got canda ❌
Before we knew what canadian map it would be, most people thought it would be this or British Columbia. I agree that we just got Canada and i wouldn’t want this to be upcoming map but i would like to see it in the future
I would hope we get maps set in places like South America, Africa and Asia before we get the Canadian Arctic
For sure
Vast herds of Caribou are definitely realistic and missing in the game for the most part. It's a little different on Medved with the big lake. Reindeer are everywhere there, and I love it!
It would be a nice feature to have in the game someday
A seal taken in Nunavut
🇨🇦POLAR BEARS IN ARCTIC CANADA - Whiterime Ridge Wilderness: Based on the Canadian Territories 🇨🇦
🇨🇦POLAR BEARS IN CANADA - Whiterime Ridge Wilderness: Based on the Northwest Territories 🇨🇦
He so close to just T posing
One of these days we'll get another like 😔
As long as people remember to set things to “Recently Active” I’m sure it will
Now here are some photos of Muskox hunted in the Northwest Territories
The second one was hunted with a Muzzleloader
Oh no way the person on the left is wearing Stoney Creek, a New Zealand brand for Hunting
We remember, but we all already liked, the only way for these posts to get more likes is for new people to like it and they on default have it on "date posted" and I know they ain't gonna go into settings and change to "Recently active" everytime
What do you all think are the chances that this is the Dezember map ?
I mean they never denied that we will never get to canadian reserves back to back
That would be to soon and as much as I want a Canadian Arctic Map with Muskox, Walrus, Polar Bear and Dall’s Sheep
I would rather see South America or an African Plains Game map in December
EW drops a banger Germany 3.0 map in December 💀
Then we would complain about Germany and the United States being over-represented over everything else
Please don't ruin Germany for me 😂
Aslong as its an alps map with the last europe species we would need it would be fine . But only when it is the last europe map(as a german i would take many more haha)
But i doubt EW wants to add badgers or marmots so much fun with one new species then
The Alpine ibex 💀
Damn ive been gone a while and we still aren't one thousand 😭
Kinda like how the Wildebeest are on Vurhonga?
Tbh a Balkan map would be better for those species, specifically Bulgaria or Croatia. Both places have populations of Alpine Ibex, as well as Marmots, Badgers, Kri Kri, and many other exotics that have been introduced.
Basically, just with specific herds in specific parts of the map
That reminded me of the fact that I do have a Bulgarian Reserve thread: #1247766230530789447
A land of big game hunting, I would love for this to be a reserve (as early as next summer)
Wow that Dall ram is WWWIIIDDDEEE
A map like this would also be a good excuse to fix the 45-70 and having something like this -> #1411986933118275614 would be fitting
In real life a couple White Muskox where sighted in the Queen Maud Gulf Migratory Bird Sanctuary in Nunavut (Its now called the Ahiak Migratory Bird Sanctuary)
This would be a rare fur type for Muskox (Could be Leucistic with a possible Albino fur type for them)
Picture included for reference (They do look a bit yellowish)
New Animal Mechanics
- Caribou, Moose and Polar Bear can swim, this would also be applied to Water Buffalo
- Seals and Walrus will utilize the ice floes to rest and keep their distance from hunters
- Migratory Barren-ground Caribou Herds
Changes
- Caribou TruRacs ( #1184642607196946482 )
- Grizzly Bear Remodel ( #1120101900096909383 )
- Moose Subspecies ( #1273552003712421899 )
Returning Species
- Grizzly Bear
- Western Moose (would also appear on Askiy Ridge)
- American Mink
- Snow Geese
- Rock Ptarmigan
New Species
- Polar Bear: Class 9
- Walrus: Class 9
- Muskoxen: Class 7 or 8
- Northern Mountain Caribou - Class 6
- Barren-ground Caribou - Class 6: They live in migratory herds
- Bearded Seal: Class 5
- Arctic Wolf: Class 4
- Dall's Sheep: Class 4
- Ringed Seal: Class 3
- Canada Lynx: Class 2
- North American Porcupine: Class 2
- Wolverine: Class 2
- Arctic Fox: Class 2
- King Eider
- Tundra Swan
- Spruce Grouse
- Arctic Hare
- Hoary Marmot
The map featuring the Barren-ground Caribou Herds
This map already would be massive, with the New mechanics you mentioned it would be so immersive🔥
I’m surprised to see porcupines here
They live pretty far north irl but on this map they would be restricted to the more forested areas of the map
Map just got cooler, i feel like porcupines would be cool to hunt and that they could have very cool fur types
This is a photo of an event I just found out about: This black bear apparently thought it was a good idea to try and feed on a seal carcass already claimed by two female polar bears with cubs in the Torngat Mountains of Labrador (Source: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/newfoundland-labrador/torngat-mountains-black-bear-fights-polar-bear-1.7644788), this would be a good inspiration for a multi-mount featuring a Polar Bear and a Black Bear fighting over a Bearded Seal carcass (And while black bears are not present on this map, there exist a multi-mount featuring Roosevelt's Elk and Puma despite the fact that they don't live on the same map)
There’s several Multimounts of species on separate maps. There’s Foxes Lunch, Tactical Espionage, Collision, 2 Turkey Types, etc.
I forgot about those, the Puma and Roosevelt Elk was the only one that came to mind at the time
I’d really like a multi with the three main bears one day (black, brown, and polar)
I would love to see some more Multimounts with species from different maps. I kinda hoped that there is some cool Multimount like this upcoming soon.
I absolutly agree
One of my top one multimounts i want to see is a lynx hunting/eating a roe deer or mouflon
If Lynx got a remodel (not they they look bad, just not really like a Lynx) and so did Roe (who desperately need one) that would make for a wonderful Multimount. Lynx don’t get enough love in this game if you ask me.
The Three Bears would be a really cool name for a multimount with a Grizzly, Black and Polar Bear all together
Wrong
Your friends are the bait
If bringing a friend works for tigers it will work for polar bears
Considering the news of the Desert Bighorn Sheep coming to the game soon, this means that a map like this could be a possible location for a map that introduces Dall's Sheep, its part of the reason I chose the Northwest Territories as it allows for the hunting of animals like Dall's Sheep and Polar Bear (The Walrus was a slight creative liberty since they are mostly hunted in Nunavut)
Whiterime Ridge Wilderness P.S.A: Whiterime Ridge is home to the ferocious wolverine, the largest mustelid in the world and an animal capable of driving off grizzly bears and even the occasional polar bear off of their kill. They are also known to raid campsites and cabins for food and leaving their scent all over, leading to another name: Skunk Bear. Please ensure you lock up your cabin or lodge extra tight to keep the wolverines out
Soon we will have 2 of the 4 North American Sheep required for the Grand Slam of North American Sheep. For Dall's Sheep this map, set in the Northwest Territories would be the perfect map to have Dall's Sheep, and it would also come with species like Polar Bear, Muskoxen and Walrus
Just an image of the North American Grand Slam from my local museum (alongside Marco Polo Sheep, Spanish Ibex and Bharal)
From left to right: Desert Bighorn, Rocky Mountain Bighorn, Stone’s Sheep & Dall’s Sheep
Dall's Sheep distribution in the Northwest Territories
968/1000 meaning only 32 needed for a 1000, at least it can be achieved and as much as I want a Canadian Arctic Reserve I can wait for it if it means Africa gets 2 Reserves in one year (Alongside a Trophy Lodge Rework)
Species List ⬆️
Barren-ground Caribou swimming across a body of water. As I previously mentioned with the Barren-ground Caribou herding mechanic this would be one way they travel. I do also think the Herd Migration Mechanic would not only apply to these Caribou but also the Blue Wildebeest of Vurhonga Savannah
you've worked so hard for this they better make ts
Thanks, I would love to see this after we get a couple African maps if it means they can get the polar bears, walrus and muskox done right
@nimble smelt want to play some cotw?
Reposting the map because it makes it easier for people to see how I envision the map would look and for anyone who has played Classic you might notice the one peninsula looking familiar
After some quick research I have decided to include the American Mink of the upcoming Scottish Reserve as a returning species (which means I can wait until the reserve is out to figure out weather I am correct in assuming it will be a Class 1 Species)
Rug Styled Mounts would also be a good inclusion and yes I included a Zebra Skin. As much as I want an Arctic Reserve we need a whole year of Africa first so they have time to get the Walrus and Seals and Polar Bears right
Rug Mounts would also be a fun way to show off rares
I felt like Rug Mounts would be a good inclusion for this Reserve simply because of the bears and seals
This set of animal information is inspired by #1445173202643845195 and I will be starting with the Wolverine
Wolverine (Whiterime Ridge Wilderness)
Main Diet IRL: They are primarily scavengers that will either feed on carrion or bully predators like bears and lynx off of their kills, but they are capable predators that feed on animals like various rodents (Beavers, Porcupines, Marmots, etc), hares, birds, smaller predators like foxes and ungulates like caribou and sheep
Other food items: Of course the Wolverine is an omnivore as they will consume bird eggs, roots, insect larvae and berries
Target Prey Animals: Hoary Marmot, Arctic Hare, Spruce Grouse, Snow Goose (When landed), Tundra Swan (When landed), King Eider (When landed), Arctic Fox, North American Porcupine, Dall's Sheep (Below level 2), Barren-ground Caribou (Below level 2), Northern Mountain Caribou (below level 2), American Mink, Western Moose (Lone cows or bulls below level 3)
Predators it can spook: Canada Lynx, Arctic Wolf (When alone or in pairs), Grizzly Bear (Below Level 5), Polar Bears (Level 1 to 3 bears)
Predarors that can spook the wolverine: Arctic Wolf (When in a pack), Grizzly Bears (Level 5 & Above), Polar Bears (Level 4 & Above)
Arctic Wolf (Whiterime Ridge Wilderness)
Main Diet IRL: While the Arctic Wolf themselves mainly prey on Muskoxen and Arctic Hare, they also prey on Caribou, Fox, Birds and Lemmings. Other wolves in the Northwest Territories also hunt caribou, muskox, moose, sheep and smaller animals like rodents, hares, birds and fish
Target Prey Animals: Snow Geese, King Eider and Tundra Swan (When landed), Rock Ptarmigan, Spruce Grouse, Hoary Marmot, Arctic Fox
- When in a pack of 2 at least: Arctic Hare, North American Porcupine
- When in a pack of 3 to 5: Barren-ground Caribou, Northern Mountain Caribou, Dall's Sheep, Muskoxen (when alone), Ringed Seal and Bearded Seal (If they are on land)
- When in a pack above 5: Western Moose, Muskoxen (When part of a herd)
Predators it can spook: Canada Lynx, Wolverines (In packs larger then 3 animals)
Predarors that can spook the Arctic Wolf: Wolverine (When alone or in pairs), Grizzly Bear (when alone or in pairs), Polar Bear (Unless they are in a larger pack)
Grizzly Bear (Whiterime Ridge Wilderness)
Diet IRL: Grizzly bears in the Canadian Arctic feed on caribou from spring to autumn and have been known to also prey on muskox, moose and smaller mammals like ground squirrels. They also feed on fish, carrion, berries and other planets like sedge and arctic cotton grass
Target Prey Animals: Northern Mountain Caribou and Barren-ground Caribou, Muskoxen, Western Moose, Ringed and Bearded Seals (When on land), Porcupine, Arctic Hare, Hoary Marmot, Waterfowl, Rock Ptarmigan, Spruce Grouse
Predators it can spook: Canada Lynx, Wolverines (Only bears above level 5), Arctic Wolf (When the wolf isn't in a pack), Smaller Polar Bears
Predarors that can spook the Grizzly Bear: Wolverine (If they bear is below level 5), Large Arctic Wolf Packs, Larger Polar Bears
Polar Bear (Whiterime Ridge Wilderness)
Main Diet IRL: These bears almost exclusively hunt seals with the Ringed Seal being the preferred target though Bearded Seals can also be taken
Secondary Diet IRL: When seal hunting isn't as productive polar bears will hunt just about any other animal from birds and caribou to more dangerous fare like walrus. They also consider humans a perfectly acceptable target
Target Prey Animals: Seals, Walrus (Below level 4), Caribou, Muskox (When alone), Waterfowl (When landed)
Prey Animals it can spook: Everything else
Predators it can spook: Canada Lynx, Wolverines (Only bears above level 4), Arctic Wolf (When the wolf isn't in a pack), Smaller Grizzly Bears
Predarors that can spook the Polar Bear: Wolverines (Only bears below level 4) Large Arctic Wolf Packs, Larger Grizzly Bears (Level 7,8 & 9 Grizzlies can spook smaller polar bears)
The River Delta on the map would look like this but with a bit more snow and ice, this image is of the Mackenzie River Delta in the Northwest Territories
And idea came into my head relatively recently regarding map sizes. I know a lot of people didn't seem to like how small Salz is and while I would love to see some more small maps like that, I also wonder how open people would be to maps that dwarf all others in terms of size.
In terms of Area Size I was thinking of these bigger maps being twice the size of a standard hunting reserve
And for what reserve settings would work with this idea naturally this Canadian Arctic Reserve would benefit but so would a reserve set in Central Asia and of course Africa 2.0 ( #1195097534239088720 ), especially so that all 7 members of the Dangerous 7 can all comfortably fit on the reserve
Yes not only for more species but less population density (in some places) so that the animals aren't everywhere on the plains
Another Reason to want a Canadian Arctic Reserve set in the Northwest Territories: Animals like Dall's Sheep and Wolverine can be backfilled to Yukon Valley, additionally Wolverine could also be backfilled to Medved Taiga
Well they managed to do exactly that across wide parts of Scotland, I am impressed
Edit: I did not add these to the species list since I am not 100% I want cryptids to be something that can be encountered on future reserves
Edit 2: I did have a whole write up on potential cryptids for this reserve (Waheela as a prehistoric bear dog and Saytoechin as Megalonyx jeffersoni) but when I thought about it I didn't like the idea so much since it would lead to less work being done on other aspects of the game
Also the whole idea was inspired by this post -> #1450315081777811548
While i rather don’t mind the haggis I personally hope it isn’t a pattern in the future, especially bigger ones like this.
That is fair, my main worry with the cryptids is in regard to future African maps considering how several famous cryptids are thought to be living dinosaurs (One of them turned out to be a hoax and two of them might be references to a time when the Congo had habitat more suitable for rhinos), I guess I am glad I didn't add my chosen cryptids to the species list for this reserve concept
I’ve just never been a huge fan of the idea of them adding fake animals or cryptids (expecially tied to events). The haggis is small / unobtrusive enough that I’m neutral on it, expecially since EW seemed to just be having fun with all the Easter eggs, but if they started doing it every map I think it’d get old / annoying. Hopefully the African maps just won’t have any of them
I can agree with that
Plus the Polar Bears and Wolverines would already be threatening enough for a Canadian Arctic Reserve
Legit, I’d rather then use their time and effort polishing and making the real animals! While like I said I’m neutral on the haggis, I’d trade it for a sika deer rework in a heart beat 💔
If we got a Japanese Reserve (https://discord.com/channels/393040947006406657/1110817492277923850) we would defiantly be getting a Sika Deer rework with it
Polar bears for sure and I wouldn't doubt it if a desperate or territorial wolverine would effortlessly wear a human down
Man Proposes, God Disposes by Edwin Landseer, painted in 1864
It features 2 Polar Bears feasting on a lost expedition
Was talking about wishing we had a definitively amazing moose grind map and remembered this could be it
I forgot I found this picture a while back but its a bunch of polar bears at a whale carcass
It's giving Y2K party
Real Life Facts: In terms of Polar Bear Hunting today
The only country that allows non-indigenous hunters to hunt polar bear are the Canadian Territories of Nunavut and the Northwest Territories (where this reserve is set)
This is fantastic artwork
thank you
thinking about the arctic lately, again
Canada is the best place for polar bear hunting IRL due to the Arctic Regions of Canada being home to the largest polar bear population with most hunting taking place in Nunavut and the Northwest Territories. The Northwest Territories is also one of the main areas in Canada for people wanting to hunt Dall's Sheep. Muskoxen are also a popular species to hunt in the Canadian Arctic
Its been almost 3 years since this post was initally made, crazy how time flies
Welcome to Whiterime Ridge Wilderness hunter, I understand you have hunted in Canada before, but this won't be a walk in a park compared to most other hunting destinations in North America. This reserve offers some of the best hunting the Northwest Territories has on offer weather your hunting Dall'
If anyone else is interested in checking Whiterime Ridge Wilderness on Avahub, please do so
I will add more stuff to it (that I have already put in this thread) as time goes on
I didn't know how to upvote but I believe I have always there to check on your post 🤙
Its been a while since I posted anything here so I am re-posting this image of a white muskox from Nunavut
I also haven’t been active much on Avahub either
Hey good to see you again
I haven’t had much drive lately to focus on all my reserve suggestions
But I should be getting back into it soon both here and on AvaHub
