So that could easily mean black and whitetail.... could go a little more out there and mean day and night. Or if you put the picture of the deer, with the rabbit in the background, you get a Fable (mythological) Piebald (mixing of two things... in this case, rabbit and deer).... It's not a stretch to mean Jackalope. I don't think it is, but it's not hard to make that leap

This means that it is likely not a respawn and is an active animal on the map as the question prior was does it have to spawn in or is it do new people have the same chance as someone who has made more spawns.

I've noticed that the borders on layton at the north central and north west (didn't confirm others) are not where the orange lines are but quite a ways past which could mean that it wanders past the orange line and then you could harvest it in the event that it went past it a bit.

The other part is that they may or may not have put it in the game yet. The main purpose of this weekend is to find bugs. They've already eliminated bugs from being found on all of the other maps. If whatever it is does happen to be found everyone will be going to wherever it was found most likely and trying to recreate the original sighting. By not putting it in the game they can then guarantee that it won't be found by a specific time and also ensure that at least most of layton's bugs are ironed out.

Don't get me wrong I want to find this thing too. I just can see a lot of different ways of it playing out. I played a lot of NMS at launch and there big thing was that nobody would ever be in the same place at the same time so they claimed you could see other people.
