Hello @everyone

In line with what I announced in Sandras group buy I would like to kick off a European group buy for the following parts related to the throttle assembly:

Grip parts. Will be 3D-printed by JLCPCB in MJF (Nylon), PA12-HP.
I will order 4 parts:
OH4A9-107
OH4A9-108
OH4A9-206
OH4A9-207

I will append a screenshot from JLCPCB later showing the settings I intend to use which have been approved by Sandra.
The manufacturing cost for a single set is indicated by JLCPCB to be 92,76 €. I expect the price to go down slightly with increasing numbers but not as much as we see it in PCBs. When considering to opt in keep in mind we have to add shipping from China to Germany (shared among all of us), import tax to Germany (also shared among all of us) and shipping to your individual locations, again plus taxes if applicable.

Fingerlifts will be CNCed by JLCPCB from Aluminium and anodized matte black.
I will order 2 parts:

OH4A9-204

I will append a screenshot from JLCPCB later showing the settings I intend to use which have been approved by Sandra.
The manufacturing cost for a single set is indicated by JLCPCB to be 88,80 €. I expect the price to go down slightly with increasing numbers but not as much as we see it in PCBs. Expect same additional cost as above. Off course I will combine grips and fingerlifts in one order.

I would ask you to indicate interest in the form:

Callsign, set of grips yes/no, fingerlifts yes/no, location.

I have no intention to try to source the aluminium flat parts of the throttle. Sandra will get those from the US so no tariffs for import from China are applied.

Also: Should anyone (especially someone official) object to me openning a group buy in parallel to the one already on the way I will cancel this group buy.

OK, I don't think we will get more participants right now. The rest in Sandras group are Australian, Canadian or US I think.

So we are at 4 sets of grips and 5 sets of fingerlifts. Let me check the prices with these numbers.

It seems I can not have the 3D-printed parts and the CNCed parts in one shipment. I have them in my shopping cart, I see a total for grips and fingerlifts but once I checkout it only shows the price for the grips...
I sent a message to JLC, let's see. Meanwhile you could send a first payment to my Paypal [email protected]. Please include callsign.

Manufacturing prices are: 69,49 € for a pair of fingerlifts and 92,25 € for the set of grips parts.

JLCPCB said it's normal, that only the 3DP parts are on the bill when I checkout. In fact checking out will start the review process and only after it I will get the final price. so I proceeded anyway and am now waiting for their feedback.

Hello @here: I just got feedback from JLCPCB:

"As shown below, the wall thickness of those indicated red areas are too thin, which have a high risk of loss, deformation, crack, or damage during the printing process.
Could you please confirm if the risks are acceptable for you?
If not, could you please kindly increase it to be at least 1.0mm to proceed? 2.0mm will be better. Then we will activate the "replace file" button for you.

I asked Sandra about it. I am guessing she told them to proceed anyway. If that is the case I would be willing to do the same. But I would ask for your buy-in. So please confirm we share the risk of telling them to proceed despite their warning.

OK everyone. I did the maths,

The final price for the fingerlifts was 5,55 € less then my initial quote. Therefore I deducted these 5,55 € from the subsequent payment I will ask you to make now.

Like I said, the initial payment was for the production of our 4 grip parts and 2 fingerlifts.

The second payment will comprise: a share of the duty for importing to Germany and a share of the shipping cost to Germany as well as the shipping cost to your location.

@sour jewel : Your second payment should be 61,08 €
@silver ginkgo : Your second payment should be 48,58 €
@light flicker : Your second payment should be 40,28 €
@weak barn : Your second payment should be 40,67 €

Some explanation: CorgiStyle has fingerlifts only so his share of duties and shipping to Germany is less then one third of the share the rest of us have to take. On the other hand he has the most expensive shipping cost to his location.
