Greetings Vikings! Vanaheim is an active community server still looking for players of all playstyles and progression. This version of the server has been going strong for about 2 weeks now and we have active players in all biomes from Black Forest - Plains.

Hey all!! Popping in here to give this server a bump and advertise. As someone new to gaming and especially new to gaming with others, I’m so happy to have landed with Phoenix and his Vanaheim server! Honestly I’ve had great luck with all the servers I’ve joined to date. If you are hesitant to game with strangers, I get it, but give it a try! It’s super fun and especially fulfilling for those of us looking for a bit of a community feel and some connection.

There are newbies and very experienced players cohabitating on this server and it’s amazing to see. Phoenix is an excellent server admin who listens to suggestions and is constantly tweaking the balancing. For example, we were finding it too hard for new players joining up (we’re on day 800-something), so he tweaked the difficulty of the baddies to be by distance to the spawn/origin point. He’s also throwing out fun community build challenges, and just launched a scavenger hunt with rewards!

We play with some fun mods that make it important to lean on others, as you can’t do it all. Although there are some who challenge themselves to go the distance solo!

We have active players. Some are in our discord voice chat all the time while playing, and some play without any interaction on the discord voice chat.

Finally, this is a nice slow immersion and progression. You can’t use items from the next biome until the boss is fought from the current biome. Boss battles are set every 250 in-game days. We go for Yagluth on day 1,000! This gives everyone a chance to fully play and breathe in each biome. You don’t need to be on 24/7 to keep up.

For those speed runners and expert Valheim players, your challenge is to get into the higher biomes and stay competitive with only this biome’s gear! We have people in the ashlands already with only plains gear!
