I have been messing with the settings and mods. If anyone is interested in a harcore play through lmk. Once i get enough interest i will launch a new seed.

1.More weapons mod
2.Epic loot mod
Thats all, any qol mods you want to use are up to you aslong as they dont change anyone elses gameplay.

+, agree with other comment on portals and anti cheat. No map with portal just makes everyone run around with portal not to get lost

Ok ill look into the anti cheat stuff. If i get more players that prefer no portals i will match the majority. I like both

From hosting many of these types of servers, if you have the difficulty up a lot (even tho Epic Loot balances it out), most people won't like much past normal death penalty. It's a small, niche group of players that really like the increased difficulty. If you don't add anti cheat, you can probably do higher difficulty because people will just go back to their solo worlds and fix their characters, then come back. If you use SSC and anti cheat where they can't, then you probably want to stick with normal death penalty.
That's more of a retention of players thing. You may get a lot to start off, but when a player dies and loses a ton of stuff on a really tough server, they tend to quit and you'll end up with 2 players by the time you go to Ashlands.
