No portals. Once you push past the feeling of being inconvenienced by their absence, I feel you will be rewarded with a more authentic RPG experience. Where as before you simply collected everything in sight till your bags were full, dropped your portal to home... Dumped your loot and repeated that process. Now you set off with a purpose, and cart (or a boat). You need to consider how long you're going to be away, and how far you're going to go. You'll provision your trip. Enough food and materials for a bench. Maybe even a forge! Outposts strategically placed will provide refuge for you and fellow adventurers. Roads can actually be more than something to look at. Canals can be dug to reduce long boat trips. It certainly is a slower more deliberate pace than a portaled play through. But if you are a true fan of Valheim you should at least give no portals a try at least once. DM me if you'd like to give no portals a try.

Today's 🅱️ 🇺 🇲 🅿️ brought to you by the Elder. Providing swamp 🔑 's since 2021. So we've got the standard rotating door of players who ask to join, log in... play for 15 minutes and leave never to be seen again. But we also have 3 or 4 guys who are putting in some serious time. Nobody is bum rushing this, we're all still looking to find a nice place to start our first major camp/fort/base whatever you wish to call it. It would be nice if we settle close enough to call ourselves neighbors, but its not a requirement. If you like to build and If you think that portals trivialize travel and exploration in Valheim, consider a no portals play through! We have a solid starter camp at the spawn in which you can get geared up...Or if you choose you can just ignore it and do your own thang. Send me DM if you'd like to give it a go.

I'm actively playing this server - If you're a valheim vet and you want a new experience give this a go. No portals means an increase in sailing time and logistics. "Oops I forgot to bring X" can quickly become a fight for your life. No easy escape from lots of mobs, you either come prepared or you die, a lot. Iron age, Bonemass is still undone. Lots of exploration left to do, plenty of room to shape your playthrough and our world. We're happy to get you started with gear. Currently 2 active and 1 semi active player. Looking for more!

Dedicated: Yes Public test build: No. We've yet to kill Bonemass. Only the first two bosses are down. I don't even think the Elder's head is hung yet.

Ever get on a server and before you finish your first base some guy is bragging about having killed moder? Well not here. We are on real day 9, and we've yet to kill bonemass. We've killed the elder but have yet to hang his head. 2 of us are on 8-10 hours a day. One is on 4-6 hours a day. Combat: Hard

Server was started 8/21. We just killed bonmass yesterday (9/3) so that should tell you how slow we are progressing. We have Kaz, Knute, Afraid, VyolksBjorn, and Neythyr playing daily. We have Zero, Doobie who log in less frequently. Its about building cool things an enjoying the ride (no portals). If you're interested give me or Knute a DM.

Still having fun. 🅱️uilding. Gathering. Dying. I'm starting to stock pile materials for a castle. Zer0 is fix'n to get his greydwarf spawner farm working. Skallywag is working on his Mistlands islands base. Kazimoto is wondering why he hasn't seen a Bear yet. We killed Bonemass on Sept. 4th and haven't even disc🇺ssed Moder. Down to 3 players now. Some of us aren't cut out for no portals hard. The 3 of us remaining are taking it slow, and enjoying the ride. 🇧uilding, testing o🇺t new content etc. We have yet to kill 🇲oder (or find an easily accessible summoning shrine). If you've been considering a no portal playthrough (on hard). If you like a very slow moving game where you can build a great base (and actually have the time to use it) send me a DM.
