Batcholi may still be aware, but each player still incurs about 5-6% CPU load (main thread).
While the 100% thread issue is fixed, this is still causing pretty big limitations in how many players can be online before the main thread simply begins to crumble.
While 5% might not sound like a lot, 8 people = 40%-55%. With just 4-5 VPC's incurring 40% load, the server can idle with 8 players at 80%-95% load. The moment someone makes a medium size craft active from resting/anchored, the load is then well over 100% and gameplay begins to suffer.
Yeah, I know this is likely to be filed in the "Not a Priority" multithreaded pile. But I hope this raises some awareness that this is still an issue and the more players that venture into multiplayer, the more problematic this will get likely turning off players from the game.
