Read below to get ready for when we are seeking new members of the PokerVR community to join our team.
You may be a good fit if you are a highly active member of our community who is also:
- Friendly, inclusive & mature both in-game and on Discord
- An advocate of the PokerVR app, PokerVR Discord, and bonus chip challenges
- Extremely patient with players of all ages, skills and temperaments
- Experienced submitting player report videos using in-game system
- In alignment with our current moderation team culture
- Comfortable that our game is a family-friendly app with players aged 13+
Here's what to do, while awaiting open applications:
- KEEP LEARNING the PokerVR game app from a player perspective. Focus on learning from credible sources and help dispel misinformation that's being spread on the tables. Help new and experienced players understand the poker experience unfolding around them so they're less confused and more comfortable.
- READ THE FAQ. Take time to get VERY familiar with the #1167776422132187206 area of Discord. Feel free to help new Discord members find those helpful posts when they seem appropriate!
- SHARE YOUR IDEAS & PLAYER VOICE via the #1092390079831494686 area, in existing topics and new topics where appropriate. Grab a coffee and scroll back to some older ideas that haven't been contributed to in a while, and share your meaningful thoughts.
- GET TO KNOW OUR TEAM by hopping on tables with us when you see an open spot. Be respectful and kind, and ask us questions so you can get clarity about what the role actually entails, vs what you THINK it might be about.
- ACCEPT FEEDBACK with grace. If offered, please accept (and potentially actively seek out) constructive feedback from Valdesta and the rest of the tenured moderator team (see #1168649063231660032 ) if we offer guidance, so you can align better with our existing team. If PokerVR devs offer guidance, congrats!
- RECORD POTENTIAL BUGS and submit a Bug Report topic in #🎫┃support-tickets If you think you've captured a recording of a bug in the game, we'll help you learn current workarounds and will work with you to document any details that we can escalate to the dev team.
