Possible to make a controller only matchmaking option?

Curious if they plan to add a controller only option to the game would love the option to not go against pc players 🙂

iirc its for consoles only, and should be in the gameplay tab

although for xbox you may need to turn it off at a system level rather than in settings

high ranks: pc people complain about aim assist on controller

low ranks: console people complain about pc having better control with mkb

It's another funny thing to notice a lot of the higher elo console players do play duo/mid

The bigger issue people complain about is that aim assist is not even on every ability/character

But cross play needs to be on with the size of the player base

Hot take I don’t think input method matters much because where you hit the model doesn’t change the damage

It’s pretty even with mouse and controller imo other than maybe one or two abilities

Controller has easier aiming for something like Skylar beam but like aiming with mouse isn’t exactly hard in Pred. It’s fairly slow moving with large models and fast projectiles

Well I just got back into the game I don’t play ranked so maybe leave that crossplay but going against keyboard and mouse is just not it for someone who looking to play casually after work kicked back on the couch

Yurei pc against ranged console is like they’re playing different games

This is not a fps, You can easily compete with a vast majority of PC players. It’s absolutely fine not being in the top 0.01%.

@marble thunder okay but my question is why does it matter if I just want the option to not play with pc players there are quite a few games with this option built in. I’m not asking to force everyone to do so but just have it as a option, I’m sure it doesn’t affect yours or anyone else’s gameplay at all.

There is an option, you can’t play ranked though with crossplay off
The reason is very simple.
Most players are on console, that means players on pc wouldn’t be able to find a game.
Matchmaking becomes bad
People stop playing
So instead of complaining about pc players, just be the better player who beats them

You can just turn off crossplay.

Apart from Delta force idk any games which allow crossplay between consoles while excluding PC. It’s still not a big deal but if you really insist on console only you can do that already.
