been playing tons of bayle lately, trying out different builds.
mostly starting tainted blade into bruiser items, bayle feels useless tbh. too weak to 1v1 or splitpush, too squishy to teamfight.

anyone having succuesses with Bayle and would like to share his build or strat?

Bayle is very strong in offlane atm.

He has some bad match ups like into tanks but you build basilisk and you can win early.

#

Bad in jungle imo and can be a good agro support

Same here Bayle feels like he needs a buff or something, especially against kaimera you get smoked playing jungle but I think offlane is his best atm. Building bruiser is good with some attack speed like skyplitter

I build Aegis first after Overlord nerf. Tainted blade 2nd if i need it otherwise it goes 3rd and i build Draconum 2nd or 3rd instead. Then i go Raiment 4th Rapture 5th and last item is situational what i need vs what the team needs if im doing good i build for team if im getting countered i build mitigation.

Early game just trade smart dont try to trade unless you have howl and back off before it runs out. Make sure you focus clearing minions before initiating any trades they will stack unnecessary damage on you during trades and we dont want that we want to dish damage and recover putting us healthier than our opponent. Keep trading until you got 2 items online and go for the kill when you feel it. After laning phase is over you should be roaming, jungling essentially, and you shouldnt have a problem falling behind.

I guess to really diagnose what the issue is, it may help to say what you’re struggling with?

I run offlane as Bayle, I stopped losing even my bad matchups and never really get thrashed, unless the enemy jungler/ off laner are really coordinated. Here’s my Pred Talk.

To me, Bayle really gets a lot out of his early game momentum. The first 3 levels often tell me what kind of game I’m in for. A lot of characters just don’t really have the juice to trade with him from the rip. (Grux does, and sometimes Greystone.) with this in mind, a lot of times what I’ll do is start that first wave clear like normal, until I see the enemy throw out whatever ability I’m waiting for. Try to time it so no matter what you’re doing you engage on his third swing, if you can open a fight on that they’re cooked. If you can make them use a blink/send em to the shop/ or force recall before the second minion wave is en route you’re mostly there. When that second wave comes out push minions and take a trip to the cyan buff. This is how 90% of my good games start, like clockwork.

The next bit of advice I can give is just general game advice, learn your matchups. I know that’s pretty run of the mill, but it feels especially true with Bayle to me.

So if you’ve been able to get that going for you, you’ll start to leverage both gold and xp. (That’s where you’ll be just diffing them off momentum.) Sometimes it’s explosive and the enemy offlaner will feed to try and catch up, and sometimes they play a real defensive game. Worst case scenario the jungler lives in your lane. :p

Other than that, just tighten up the fundamentals, learn when to slow clear.

My two last bit of Bayle specific tips are pretty concise.

I disengage with my jump way more than I engage with it.

In the late game you are Mr. Dive the ADC or support.

I don’t know if you play overwatch, but I try and play Bayle like a dive tank and avoid the fattys.

If you have any matchup specific questions ask away!
