Here's what I have thought about, but feel free to add more.

The ability to select positions pre-match.

A priority of 1-5 would be ideal, like Smite does it. It reduces lobby time for everyone and makes things more fair than splitting the odds with whoever else is hovering the role you want, plus it remove the issue of getting a 3rd or other role when splitting chances with teammates. E.g. if someone hovers mid, why are you risking getting assigned support when hovering mid, if solo is your 2nd priority? This should ideally also future balancing and protection, so if you didn't get your role, your chances go up, or if you get your 3rd+ priority, you are guaranteed your 1st or 2nd priority. If the player count can't support that, still having a 1-5 priority is way better than what is present now.

Map overview

It is horrible that you can't track timers properly if a ward is placed on an objective, or someone is near it. Put the timers in the tab-menu as a minimum, but making opacity layering so you can see it, or having the timer beside the objective on the map would do wonders. It would be nice to have for all jungle camps, really. Timer on teleporter and inhibitors, too, please. It is simple accessibility. High rank players will keep track of them, and everyone else just loses off of it, so why not just make it nicer and fair for all?

Item building.

The recommended items in the shop are nice, but there is a lot of room for improvement, and again, newer or lower rank players are the ones losing with the current system. With inspiration from League of Legends, it would be great for everyone to have expanded item recommendations for the hero that takes into account what heroes are on the enemy team so people make less detrimental building mistakes, or have no idea what to build when trying a new hero.

With inspiration from Deadlock, having in-game access to Omeda data with builds sorted by votes/mmr/rank and being able to make and share them publically would benefit everyone, to help them quickly understand what items work on what hero, and from there they get a better understanding of the hero overall, and everyone wins. Bonus points if it also includes ability rank order.

Log-in button.

When launching the game just let it login to the account, at least for Steam users it makes no sense. You can't even logout anyway once you hit login, so why have it? Just let people load in in one go. Or let it default to the account you last used, and then have a logout button if you'd like to account swap.

Settings

When changing settings nothing saves without hitting apply, that's standard, but it would be nice if it prompted you when exiting settings with unsaved changes, so you don't forget to apply them.
