Many times, when a match is found and I try to select a hero, my screen freezes, preventing me from making a selection. This comes after I have selected a lane to play. I have this issue on all game types.
As a result, my time runs out, and I receive a penalty.

Game Version and System:
Include the game version and the platform device you're playing on (Steam, Epic Games, PSN), as well as input device (Controller, Mouse & Keyboard)

Log Files:
(If applicable) Attach any game log files or error messages. These can provide invaluable information for diagnosing issues. You can find them following this guide:

  • Hold Windows key, then press R.
  • Type %localappdata%/Predecessor/Saved/Logs into the search field
  • Hit enter on your keyboard
  • Grab the log generated around the time of your issue (likely the most recent log). A new log is created each time your game restarts.

hey,
I just encountered the same incident again as I attempted to play my first game of the day. For this first game I got the error message:

My games keep crashing. Every2nd or 3rd game, I am getting a penalty because of game freeze in the lobby... heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp

I've identified the cause of my game crashes, but I'm not sure how to prevent or fix it. The issue seems to occur when Firefox is running in the background with YouTube or Twitch open. Do you have any suggestions on how to resolve this, aside from avoiding using Firefox or not having YouTube/Twitch open while playing the game?

Hey I have expeirenced the same thing

I believe it is when you pull up a second window and multi task. I just switched to windowed fullscreen and I am going to see if this happens again

Interesting bug tbh. Maybe something to do with the way background processes are optimised, could be causing network issues, in turn the game believing for you to have close the client?

It never happened to me, and I have a video running in the bg when drafting most of the time. Weird
