Just listen, don't take advice as a bad thing. I was trying to help a Kira with her build and instead of trying to understand what I was saying, she told me she had tried everything already, and she had not all her games she goes the same build win or lose. So if you are having trouble climbing, always listen. Now know when someone is being rude and when someone is trying to help. Especially being bronze and silver and gold these are lower ranks and still having room to grow and learn. That's all.
#A secret to getting better for Lower ranks..

It really is a shame, it's quite literally 90% of the community either doesn't openly give advice or they don't take it. It's that simple. People either hold on to their knowledge because they don't want their status threatened or they don't take advice because they have no idea where they actually stand relative to others. I get people don't want unwarranted advice, but when you complain to others about teammates, or not climbing, etc, etc, you're kinda opening yourself up to receive that advice, especially if it's from people you're already acquainted with.
I think it’s the way we speak, think I say you’re trash, then follow up with “just trying to help”.
It’s more of an insult than help, denabling the guy you called trash from listening clear to you.
Besides that, you can only get better by playing and sticking to it.
But definitely always experiment with items you like and think are fire.
Then you find out through repition what works and how well.
Games where the first or second item is straight throw, been there done that.
But also from those games I can see when items really do click and propel your champ.
Now Predecessor is so random, that your skill will actually overpower builds in the end more than the build will overpower a skillful character.
Assasin mid will anyway chunk squishies HP no matter build.
And Steel will just doom any assassin
Well I didn't call the guy trash, he called me trash and said the build was. But he was complaining about the enemy jungle who was a Riktor so I was letting him know what items would work best. These are things a carry needs to be able to see, well honestly anyone needs to see. A carry and a support needs to be on the same page and as my time playing of I'm not on comms then it's on me to adjust. You're right skill is a huge thing as well. Also knowing what fights to take, and what items to run. When you're 1-6 and you want to yell at the support who's also 1-7 with 10 assists. People don't understand roles and characters jobs as well. I wish people could just see and understand.
I don't have enough time to teach and help every game while trying to climb, but I can't climb well when I'm dealing with arrogant people who actually don't know anything about the game as of yet.
Lots of thoughts here, but the issue could be a number of things. For one, some random person in a discord call is not necessarily the authority on what does or doesn't work on a hero, especially when both players are of equal rank/experience. How the conversation is started also plays a role, and people are often very defensive about it. Not everyone has the same motive, some people just want to play the game to have fun, and winning vs losing doesn't matter for them in terms of if they're having fun. If playing the "meta" is less fun than trying some wacky build, then they're going to be trying some weird items. I think it's important to play with people with similar motivations so you're not in a constant disagreement. All in all, ask if people want any tips or any feedback about their builds/playstyle and if they say no, then just don't give them the information.
Dont get discouraged its not always a build issue it can definitely be a skill issue and theres nothing wrong with that. Best thing to do is keep trying make minor changes and see what works. The minimap and vision is key the biggest thing about the game is spatial and map awareness.
