Feature: I want to be able to import custom 3D models so instead of playing as Kwan, I can play as Cloud from Final Fantasy, the Princess from Frozen instead of Aurora, The Hulk Instead of Steel, etc.

Context: I've done it in other games (Fifa/FC & NBA2K, see pictures) and it's probably the most fun I've had playing a game, ever. These mods only affect what YOU can see, other players online will see their own local files or mods.

Suggestion: Provide a folder for PC players where they can place mod files and have the game read those files instead of default textures and 3D meshes. For console players, add file sharing system to download mods.

Sorry to say this wont ever happen, in those games its not that important to see what character youre playing. But in a Moba each hero needs their own identity and this would blur that greatly

If you can mod skins in no one would buy the real skins

modding skins would allow to create cheats easily

Mods are a slippery slope. Allowing skin mods leads to someone creating an invincibility mod etc. Speaking as someone who has used mods in games and had mods used against him, it is unfun if they're used in a multiplayer environment.

Not to mention that skins are one of their main revenue sources

I dont doubt we'll eventually have 3rd party skins like they do over in League for instance. But I dont think it should ever be officially supported
