Hey Maya, gonna be wicked that you can join a lot of us UK lot for a gig, if any of the previous ones are ones to go by, then this will be even better!

There will be a bunch of people from here (and elsewhere Im sure) all arranging a pre-show meetup, typically in a spoons/pub local-ish to the venue. I've 'arranged' the last few meetups (aka said go to this pub from this time onwards) - There can be a lot of us and we're all pretty welcoming! Works out nicely when we all have a common artist. My first show was November '23 and I went solo, best decision ever

Some of us also then go back to a pub after the show, but thats pretty much an on-the-day deal 😄

Feel free to chat in the main channels as well as keep an eye on here closer to the date for any pre-show meetup info etc!

If anyone else lurking in here has any tips/advice for a solo from scotland (blimey, thats a journey) then feel free to pitch in!

I've said it before, but Stan attracts a certain kind of crowd, where we're welcoming of all sorts. You're gonna have an amazing time - we all are! ^^

Usual advice for all gigs applies:

• Remember your ID
• Bring a set of earplugs (I'd recommend Loop if you want reusable ones!)
• Drink plenty of water
• Enjoy the moment (someone else will have filmed that moment you wanna film xD]

As someone from Scotland who is currently solo traveling in the US for the tour over here, I can say you'll have a blast and don't worry about it!
If you can do things like pre show meet to get to see people, absolutely do.

I found a pretty good deal on flights so I'm also going as my first solo concert abroad, all the way from Spain! If there is a meetup for some pints before the concert I'm down 😄

I'm also from Edinburgh, but living in London now! The trip from Kings Cross to the venue is nice and easy, just a trip on the Victoria line southbound - you can just tap in/out with your Apple/Google pay or bank card. As others have said it's a super wholesome vibe, lots of bopping and friendly people.

If you can make it to the pre-drinks (no pressure to actually drink!) then it's a good place to make some familiar faces for the night.

My only other advice would be to make sure you have a light layer you can go down to (t-shirt or whatever) as some of the venues can get really warm with all the people boogey-ing. There will be a cloakroom to dump a small bag/jackets/jumpers etc

Big agree, don't dress too heavy cause you'll sweat like crazy (pro tip: Fox Stevenson t shirts make everything a billion times better trust)

Definitely bring earplugs too, I made the mistake once of sitting through a whole night in front of a speaker with no ear plugs and I gained hearing on one ear again only after a whole day lol (it was not fun)

Also, advice to everyone in general who's coming from outside the country and doesn't know this, but I'm 99.9% sure it's required by law to offer free tap water to all the venue guests
You WILL need to stay hydrated, trust me, so don't forget to ask for some if you need to! Literally changed my life when I went to the first London gig haha
