#Possible to have mat_picmip value stated in autoexec override any other texture related commands?

I'd like to set a higher mat_picmip value in autoexec, but upon doing so and running TF2, it's set per "textures" value in my overrides/modules.cfg being mat_picmip 0 using "textures=low"

Have tried commenting the command in modules.cfg and that doesn't let autoexec override

Your custom autoexec is run after mastercomfig, if you put mat_picmip in there it should override mastercomfig's value

#

Also textures_low uses mat_picmip 2

In game it's value is 0, I'm not sure why it's forcing a higher value if that's the case

#

Using the low preset to begin with aswell

Maybe you're launching with dxlevel or something like that

#

Which value do you want for mat_picmip?

I’d like mat_picmip 2

That should be the default for low preset

#

If you're using mastercomfig low you don't need to change anything, if you're using a higher preset put textures=low in your modules.cfg, if it's still not working post your launch options and zip up and upload your cfg and custom folders

#

If you're using the 'dev version' of mastercomfig, the textures module was renamed to texture_quality and it's set to high even on the low preset presumably to avoid an apparent performance bug in tf2 with positive mat_picmip on dxlevel 90+

Maybe I'm just missing something, but everything is set to what it should to produce mat_picmip 2 in game

Could be this in your autoexec

Otherwise post your launch options

Hah, good catch
