In the Characters section, it says medium-high enables "enhanced lip sync". Does this mean anything below medium-high doesn't have any lip sync, including for taunts?

lipsync is only disabled when the characters module is set to low or very low, because they completely disable facial animations.
the "enhanced lipsync" refers to some features which improve the quality of the lipsyncing.
i'll admit that I don't fully understand what it does since i haven't looked into it, but from what i understand for the most part the difference is that on medium-high the game crossfades 2 different facial animations to smoothly blend between them, rather than snapping from one to the other when the first one ends
