There’s also some changes to huds. Apparently loadout screens on huds broke because now a stray settitlebarvisible parameter is essential to be set to 1…
And the ready up menu in tournament mode got its positioning set to the left side of the screen.
Also my volume was noticeably louder in game after the update. With the same ingame volume I had to lower my game volume for windows from 100% to 80% to have the same volume. Interesting stuff.

Well actually there was this game called sky something children and it was a mobile game that was ported to PC that runs great on vulkan with what i assume are volumetric clouds with lighting. It was surprisingly well performing.
my system does not appear to like dx12 at all

game should stream out the textures after like 30 seconds of them not being rendered so you probably won't have to close and reopen the game to watch them stream in multiple times

-windowed -noborder fixed it, but now gnome's status bar is showing, which pushes TF2 down a bit and cuts off the bottom portion of TF2 from my screen, which is a little annoying. Guessing this is a known linux issue?

it's complaining about allocating vertices
and it's not a vram issue because there's no texture problems
every time it crashes the "vertices used" count is somewhere near 2^24, also the vertices used count is way higher than it should be im on minimum LOD it should NOT be using 17 million vertices

If you haven't used direct install, then yeah, you just redownload mastercomfig and the addons you want, and you overwrite what you already have in "custom"

I did a binary algorithim search thingy
I big brained it
I listed the commits between the two tags, I chose half way through. If it worked, I would choose a new half on the chunk above me, if it didn't work, I would choose a new half on the chunk below me
Here's how I did it
From top to bottom is from latest to oldest
did you use git bisect
no I did it manually
with a modified kwin PKGBUILD
to save time
I reverted back to the 6.0.3.1 package build, and then cherry picked what commit I wanted
with like
git cherry pick HEAD...238293829302830928302
so it will add all the new commits from after the 6.0.3.1 tag to the specified commit
I did it this way cause I don't wanna mess with manually installing software
everytime I had a new commit to try, I would nuke src/kwin in the PKGBULD directory, keeping src/build, to cut down on build times and to have a clean state to do the cherry picking from
I also added a git-style pkgver() function so the package version reflects which commit I am on
so yeah
that's how I did it
