so you can see that the mipmaps for the reflections are actually at different levels than the ones in the real world
most notable on stuff like the lantern glow, where one of them is green in the world but red in the reflection
similar thing with the mountain on the right, has some yellow in the real world, all blue on reflection
this is kinda a bad explanation too, since screen space reflections would show debug stuff like this too, since it just takes your screen and, well, flips it

some newer versions of the game broke demo compatibility, and these branches allow you to switch to an older version of the game to play the demos back. recently, valve removed a bunch of old version branches from steam, and just added them back again.

I've been feeling like the shield + eyelander is pretty powerful. You can even keep the primary since you are not really gonna charge
you can easly land 4 hits before he is able to brake the shield, and 4 hits give you 4 heads, which gives you more than 195 health plus the large mobility bonus
yeah because of the heads and extra hit from the shield things like booties are not really helpful
then you just fall back and heal as soon as he lands a hit, heal and repeat
compared to a projectile
like, if you are full health you can keep meleeing until he hits you once. Then once that happens you disappear in the middle of your teammates for heals and repeat
im averaging 4000 dmg every round
of course, if Hale knows how to play and just targets you instead of letting you leave, then there is not much you can do besides play cooperatively and shit

having the outline brings them closer in line to teammates but adds another way for people to know its a spy, but not having it also adds a new way for people to know its a spy, plus its a weird discrepancy between how a teammate looks and how a disguised spy looks

so, I decided to test a random thing to see if it got rid of my out of memory and address space errors, and it worked
The fix was to make a blank glshaders.cfg and a blank glbaseshaders.cfg
combined with Getchoo's malloc, my RAM usage has never been lower!—although it will still require some testing
So I know if it spits OOM errors after several hours of play
(thanks coms for finding that fix originally)

IIRC some settings other than -1 leave listen servers unplayable (you get frozen in place)

mat_queue_mode pretty much only affects the materialsystem and shouldn't have any effect like that on listen servers

There's some real estate in the tf2 footer that's only used for votes when in a map that could be utilized by stuff in the main menu
