We have time control of 10 mins, 15+10 mins 20 mins, 30 mins, 60 mins category already, for 25 minsexactly we can have custom time control.
We don't have a separate Classical category for now & counting it in Rapid format.

What is the downside of having a classical category?

There is no downside, but also not much helpful or make any difference. As there are less number of people play Classical chess online comparison to other formats.
We have some clubs, where classical tournaments are organised having time control of 45+45 or 90+30. Maybe in the future our team can have a separate category for Classical format but right now, we don't have it.
