I made this move because it inevitably leads to checkmate.
If Black captures the rook with Qxe5, they get mated in two moves:
- Rd8+ Qe8
- Rxe8#
If Black tries to save the queen, they are checkmated on the next move: Re8#.
And if Black somehow tries to avoid checkmate, for example with Rb8, they simply lose the queen and inevitably get checkmated within at most five moves.
